You can temporarily change the color of a separation and easily set it back to the original color. For example, you can make a particular separation stand out by temporarily changing it to a very visible color like hot pink, or you can temporarily change a color to more easily see traps when two very similar inks are side by side.
- In the Separations palette, click the color swatch.
The Color dialog box appears. - Select an alternate color using the color wheel, color sliders, color palettes, image palettes, or crayons.
- Click OK.
The color swatch will now show both colors (as in the sample below), and in the main window, the color just selected will replace the original color.
To restore the original separation color:
- In Mac OS, hold down the Option key and click the color swatch.
- In Windows, hold down the Ctrl key and click the color swatch.
The second color will disappear from the swatch.
