When open connectivity is used, you can create as many hot folders as needed, and expose them on as many client workstations as needed.

Requirements: Ensure that the desired resources have been prepared, including layout and media configuration.

Notes:

  • Some older operating systems cannot communicate with hot folders.
  • Although the option of creating a virtual printer instead of a hot folder remains available and uses the same general procedure, a 64-bit operating system environment such as a Microsoft Windows 7 or 8.1 does not support virtual printers.
