You can break a line between two defined items to adjust any part of a line that is improperly designated. For example, you can follow this procedure to identify part of a line as a crease instead of a cut.

  1. In the Input file pane, select your item from the Current Item list.
  2. Select the Line tab.
  3. Select the line that you need to adjust.
Identify the line based on its designation (crease or cut).
  4. From the drop-down list next to the Set button, select Crease or Cut.
  5. Click Editing.
  6. Click the same line again, then use Shift-Click to break the line. (This will let you select the part of the line that needs to be identified as the opposite of the setting you chose in step 4.)
The line will show a missing segment. This is the part that you will change.
  7. Click Stop Editing.
  8. Join the line segments that have a portion missing between them:
    1. In the Input file pane, in the Current Item list, select the item.
    2. Select the Line tab.
    3. Select two line items that you want to connect.
    4. Click Join Segments.
