- Click the first object to select it.
- On the Geometry palette, click a reference point on the side where you want the two objects to touch (for example, the lower-right corner).
- If you want to move the object, type new coordinates in the X and Y boxes. (If you don't want to move the object, note the coordinates in the X and Y boxes.)
- Click the second object to select it.
- On the Geometry palette, click the reference point that you want to touch the reference point on the first object. (In the example in step 2, you would select the lower-left corner.)
- In the X and Y boxes, type the coordinates you noted from the first object, or increase the numbers slightly to allow a small amount of space between the two objects.
- Press Enter.
