- In the 1-Up Artwork pane, select the
DotShop.p1.pdf
file. - From the Process menu, select Loose 1-Up Artwork Output > Virtual Proof > Virtual Proof.LoosePage.
- In the Start Process dialog box, click Edit Process Template.
- In the Virtual Proof process template, click on the Render drop-down arrow. In the Resolution X and Y section, enter 2400 dpi.
- Click on the Calibration & Screening drop-down arrow. In the Screening Mode section, select Keep DotShop Settings.
The system will use screening information specified with DotShop, when available. For 1-up artwork that is not modified with the screening plug-in, the screening information specified in the process template is used. - In the Screen Type box, and Screen System boxes, select Maxtone.
- Next to Screen Ruling, select 65.
- Click OK twice to start the process.
- Open and preview the VPS files.
- Review the virtual proof. You will see the objects you selected screened at 150L, while the rest of the file is screened at 65L.
You may also see Maxtone NX, depending on the highlights of the object to which you applied that screening. You will also see a different tint value in the object you selected for 24% dot gain.
