A typical DotShop-screening workflow may include the following steps:
- Create or edit a series of screen instances using DotShop Composer, choosing from the following options for each screen instance:
- Allow Plug-in to change CMYK screen angles (as well as spot colors)
- Allow Plug-in to change calibration curve
- Refine a file in Prinergy with or without trapping.
- Apply screens to selected objects, or to the entire page, using DotShop.
- Add or adjust traps if needed.
- Output in Prinergy to proof, plate, or film; setting screening and calibration if needed. You can choose one of the following screening modes on output:
- Override All Screening—use the process template screening.
- Keep DotShop Settings—use the DotShop screening, and then use process template screening.
- Use Document's Screening, if present—use the DotShop screening, then use unknown screening defined in the file by the creation software, and then use the process template screening.
