Data retention period:
Kodak will store 30 days of incremental backups within the Service Recovery Vault.
If the customer would like to increase the time-period that data is retained, the amount of storage purchased will need to be increased accordingly and the time-period indicated on the sales order.
Data backup:
Kodak will back up data once a day at 2:00 am. Unless otherwise noted on the order.
If the customer would like to increase the number of daily backups (maximum is three times a day) or change the time of day the backups occur, the customer needs to indicate it on the sales order.
Customer passphrase
A Passphrase is auto-generated when the account is initially provisioned and is needed to do a full restore of files back to the server.
Without the passphrase, the files stored in the Service Recovery Vault cannot be recovered! Not even Microsoft can recover them!
To ensure that the customer can do a full restore, if needed:
- Copies of the passphrase will be stored on the server in the following locations:
C:\Drivers\AzureBackupJ:\CloudDRBackup
- A copy of the passphrase will be given to the customer, who will need to store it in a location that is not on the server
- A copy of the passphrase will be stored in the Prinergy Cloud administration portal
Software updates
The Microsoft Azure Backup Agent does not support auto-update but does alert the customer via the software UI that a new release is available for download.
Kodak Cloud Operations will receive automated notifications from the Azure Recovery Service if an agent falls out of date. If the customer has not upgraded their software within a 30-day period, Kodak will notify the customer via e-mail that an upgrade is available and should be installed.

Unsupported configurations
Azure Backup only works with drives that are local to the server (for example, J: Drive). Network Shares and Removable Media are not supported.
