After you or another user adds a content check annotation to an image, you can set the validation status for the annotation. Set the validation status to evaluate the annotation generated by the content check.

If the Enable task approver voting restrictions option is selected for the customer and you are assigned to the task as a Content Proofer, you cannot approve or reject the task element until you set the validation status for all the content check annotations on the image.

  • If you set the validation status to Valid - Ignore, the annotation is ignored for the restriction rule. You can approve the task element even if you have the annotation.
  • If you set the validation status to Error - Needs Correction, the annotation is honoured the same way as a regular annotation for the restriction rule. You cannot approve the task element while you have such annotation.
  1. To display the annotation box, in the Annotations panel, click or roll over a content check annotation.
  2. Click anywhere in the annotation box to expand the annotation box.
  3. In the Validation Status list, select one of the statuses:
    • Valid - Ignore: the inspection finds a barcode, braille, a spelling error or a text difference, but nothing is wrong and nothing needs to be corrected
    • Error - Needs Correction: the inspection finds a barcode, braille, a spelling error or a text difference, and something needs to be corrected
  4. (Optional) Type a comment to associate with the validation status—for example, to explain why you selected a specific status.
  5. Click Done.
