Prinergy has a number of components that are relevant to system administration.

Prinergy Administrator software

Software that allows you to monitor and configure the system

Distributed architecture

The Prinergy system can distribute Prinergy operations on a number of servers and clients. This means:

  • Prinergy can be operated from multiple client machines
  • Job ticket processors (JTPs) and jobs can be distributed from the primary server onto secondary servers for optimal load sharing
  • Input files and jobs can be distributed on tertiary servers
  • Input files can be distributed onto file servers

Process Templates

A predetermined set of processing instructions that enable operators to reliably and repeatedly perform pre-defined operations, such as creating a loose page proof. Process templates can be user-defined.

Support Tools

A set of tools for diagnosing problems and maintaining the Prinergy system. These tools include:

  • Prinergy Administrator
  • Prinergy Workshop tools (tracking job status and history, and queue management)
  • Remote diagnostics (used by your service representative to help you maintain and troubleshoot your system)
