Input file types

You can use the following file formats with CAD Correct:

  • EPS (Encapsulated Adobe PostScript)
  • CF2 (Common File Format 2)

You can use the following file formats by first importing them into Adobe Illustrator software, then outputting an EPS file that can be used in CAD Correct.

  • DXF (Data Exchange File)
  • DWG (AutoCAD Drawing File)

Saving EPS files for CAD Correct

For an EPS file to work successfully in CAD Correct, save it in Adobe Illustrator as an Illustrator legacy EPS version 8.0.

To save a legacy EPS file using Adobe Illustrator CS

  1. From the File menu, select Export.
  2. From the Save as type box, select Illustrator Legacy EPS (*EPS), then click Save.
  3. In the Legacy EPS Options dialog box, in the Version box, select Illustrator 8 EPS, then click OK.

To save a legacy EPS file using Adobe Illustrator 10 or earlier

  1. From the File menu, select Save As.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, in the Format box, select Illustrator Legacy EPS.
  3. In the Legacy EPS Options dialog box, in the Compatibility box, select Version 8.0. A message warns that saving this file in an older format may disable editing features.
  4. Click OK.

Export file type

You can export files in the EPS format from CAD Correct.
