You cannot edit a trap set file directly, but you can change its trapping parameters and save the changes to an existing trap set file.

  1. Open a file that was refined and trapped in Prinergy, and then edited with PDF Trap Editor.
  2. In PDF Trap Editor, click Trap page, or select items and click Trap the selection.
In the trapping dialog box, if the file is from Prinergy, the Trap Set status shows From process template. If the file was edited in PDF Trap Editor, the Trap Set status shows From PDF file.
  3. Click Load.
  4. In Load Trap Set dialog box, select an existing trap set in the TrapParams folder, or in your own last-accessed folder.
  5. Click Open to return to the trapping dialog box. The Trap Set status shows as Trap Set <filename>.
  6. Make changes to trapping parameters in the trapping dialog box. The Trap Set status shows as Modified/unsaved.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Select the same trap set name and folder to save into.
  9. Click Save to close the Save Trap Set dialog box.
  10. (Optional) Check the trapping options and apply the new trap set.

The next time that you open this file and click Trap page or Trap the selection, the Trap Set status will show From PDF file, and the trapping parameters from the last changes applied will appear in the trapping dialog box.
