When you define bump or cutoff curves for Flexographic printing, the point at which the discontinuous curve steps from zero to the minimum printable dot is called the Mindot of the curve. You specify the Mindot Tint In value as the input tint value where the discontinuity occurs, and the Mindot Minimum Tint Out value as the minimum printable dot.
Mindot definitions for process inks and spot inks are separated. This allows you to use different Mindot settings for process inks and spot inks if the operating conditions for spot inks are different from process inks. For example: spot inks use AM screening systems, while process inks use hybrid screening, then the minimum printable dot values might be different.
The Mindot Tint In and Minimum Tint Out values only determine the discontinuity of flexo bump or cutoff curves.
