- From the Tools menu, select Smart Hot Folder Manager.
- In the Smart Hot Folder Manager dialog box, click Add.
An Add Smart Hot Folder dialog box appears. - In the left pane, check that General is selected.
- In the Smart Hot Folder Name box, enter a name:
XX_Smart_Folder
(where XX represents your initials). - In the Smart Hot Folder Location box, click Browse. A Select Folder dialog box appears.
- Navigate to
<Server Name>/SmartHotFolders
.
Note: TheSmartHotFolders
folder was created for use by the system administrator/instructor beforehand. - Click Select "SmartHotFolders".
- In the Hot Folder Type section, select Job Creator.
- In the Create a new job based on the job template box, click Browse. A Select Template Job dialog box appears.
- Navigate to the template job you created—XX_Smart_Hot_Folder.
- In the Copy From Selected Job list, clear everything except Hot Folders.
- In the left pane, select Source and Target Patterns.
- In the Source File Name Pattern box, type the following:
[$job].[%ext]
. - In the Target Job Name Pattern: box, type the following:
XX_[$job]
, (where XX represents your initials). - In the left pane, select File Move Rules.
- In the right pane, click Add to add a rule to the table above.
- Select the Use Smart Hot Folder's Source Pattern check box.
- Clear the Rename Files check box.
- Select the Move to Job Hot Folder option.
- In the hot folder list, select XX_Workflow_SmartFolder.
- Click OK.
- Close the Smart Hot Folder Manager dialog box.
