Use the installer to perform a fresh install of Workshop and other software on client computers.
For information about installation requirements, see the Supported client workstations topic in the Prinergy Workflow Release Notes for the version of Prinergy Workshop you are installing.
Always connect to the Prinergy server to run the installer. This will ensure that you are using the latest version of the installer and installing the most up-to-date software. The installation time varies, depending on your Prinergy system configuration.
- Connect to the Prinergy server by mounting a volume (Mac) or mapping a drive (Windows).
- In the
WkspInstall
folder for your operating system, locate the Mac OS//<ServerName>/WkspInstall/MacOSX/WorkshopInstaller.app
command file or the Windows\\<ServerName>\WkspInstall\Windows\WorkshopInstallerShortcut.exe
command file, and then perform the following action:- (Mac OS) Double-click the
WorkshopInstaller
command file, click the lock icon in the Authentication dialog box, type the Administrator account name and password, and click OK. - (Windows) Double-click the
WorkshopInstallerShortcut.exe
file.

The installer wizard appears.
- Follow the instructions in the wizard to install the software, and make sure that you select the following items:
- Select the required language for the installer.
- If you want to upgrade your existing software, select the Skip all steps continue directly to install check box, and continue to follow the instructions in the wizard.
- To install specific software on the client computer, make sure that the Skip all steps continue directly to install check box is cleared, and in the Choose Install Set dialog box, in the Install Set list, select the software that you want to install. When you finish, click Next.
Note: If you want to install software at a later time, run the installer again, and select all of the software that you want (including software that you've already installed). The installer will uninstall everything that was installed and then install your new feature set.
The file folder where the installer puts the software program files:
- For Mac computers, the default location is
/Applications/Kodak/Prinergy
. - For Windows computers, the default location is
C:\Program Files (x.86)\Kodak\Prinergy
.
- For Mac computers, the default location is
- Click Done to quit the installer and start the client software.
Note: If you need to configure individual client computers as Prinergy Powerpack client computers, even though the overall system is configured as a Prinergy Workflow system or vice versa, see the Overriding the default mode (Connect or Powerpack) on a client topic in the Prinergy Workshop User Guide.
