In this activity you create a smart hot folder in which to place input files. This scenario can be used when writing input files directly from a layout software such as QuarkXPress or Illustrator.
After the smart hot folder is created, you can add an input file to it. A job is then automatically created, named, and moved. The input file is automatically refined, and a Prinergy VPS file generated for proofing purposes.
As part of this activity, you first create a workflow template and then a template job with an associated hot folder. You then create a smart hot folder that will be used to create a new job based on the template job, to define a naming pattern for a new job, and to enable the use of the hot folder associated with the template job.
