Trap direction is considered part of a trap-decision calculation, but is automatically calculated by PDF Trapper according to the neutral density for adjacent colorants (inks). Generally, lighter colors trap into darker colors.
However, you can use the Properties Editor to change the direction of a generated trap or traps.
In addition, you can set a value for traps for images that will override the automatically-calculated trap direction.
