You can trap some parts of a page differently from the rest of the page by using Trap Page 
and Trap the Selection 
together. You typically trap the entire page first, and then select areas or items in other parts of the page to trap with other trapping parameters. The file then contains page traps and specially selected traps that were generated with different sets of parameters.
