Importing layout ticket forms

You can import entry forms such as sample layout ticket forms, or forms from another PLA system.

Note: When you import a layout configuration ticket that has the same name as another ticket that already exists in the database, you can overwrite the currently used layout configuration ticket by clicking Overwrite. When you import multiple layout ticket forms, the ticket name will remain the same and you are not asked to type the name to use for the layout ticket form.

Requirements: Before you can import a layout ticket form from another PLA system, you must first export the form.

1. In Layout Automation Manager, click the Configuration tab.
2. On the Configuration tab, click Import.
3. Locate the layout ticket forms (XML files) that you want to import, and click Open.
4. When importing single layout ticket forms, in the Import Job Type dialog box, type the name that you want to use for the layout ticket form, and click Create.
