Changing trap size

You can adjust trap size using the Properties Editor to compensate for a misregistration that may occur on press.
Tip: Ask your press operator for a recommended trap size for the job.

1. From within PDF Trap Editor, select a trap.
2. In the Properties Editor, select the trap icon in the left pane.
3. For Trap Size, enter trap Width and Height values. The trap width range is 0.03 to 15 pt (or 0.001 to 0.208 in. or 0.011 to 5.291 mm).
   The height is automatically filled in with the same value when you enter the trap width. You can fill in the height with a different value than the width if you are printing with a flexo medium and need predistorted pages and traps.
4. Click Apply.

You can use the Geometry parameter in a page or selection trapping dialog box to automatically adjust the trap thickness when trapping to thin objects.
