Tool shortcut keys

When one tool is active, use the following shortcut keys to enable a different tool. For example, when the Measure tool, Densitometer tool, or Zoom tool is active, hold down the space bar to enable panning. When you let go of the space bar, the original tool becomes active again.
Note: The Densitometer tool does not have a shortcut key. However, when the Densitometer tool is active, the shortcut keys outlined in the following table can be used to temporarily switch to another tool. Once the shortcut key is released, the Densitometer tool is restored to its previous active mode. If the Densitometer tool is active with a marquee and you temporarily switch to another tool using the menu or toolbar (instead of the shortcut keys), when you return to the Densitometer tool, it is restored to its default mode, that is, measuring the ink density of a single pixel.
