If a backup fails, try to identify the cause. If the problem persists, call your service representative.
- If possible, find out why the backup failed. Backups may fail for a number of reasons, including:
- Insufficient media
- Removable storage device not ready
- Cables disconnected between the device and the server
- Network problems
- If you can identify the cause of the failure, take the appropriate steps to prevent future failures, if possible.
- If you can't identify the cause of the failure or the failure persists, contact your service representative.
