If a backup fails, try to identify the cause. If the problem persists, call your service representative.

  1. If possible, find out why the backup failed. Backups may fail for a number of reasons, including:
    • Insufficient media
    • Removable storage device not ready
    • Cables disconnected between the device and the server
    • Network problems
  2. If you can identify the cause of the failure, take the appropriate steps to prevent future failures, if possible.
  3. If you can't identify the cause of the failure or the failure persists, contact your service representative.
