The marks are organized in a set of folders in the Marks tab of Packaging Layout Automation and also on the Marks palette of Pandora. You can preview the marks, add your own custom marks to the user folder, organize your marks using the subfolders, and apply marks to jobs.
Some of the provided marks are SmartMarks, with intelligent functionality. You can edit a variety of settings for SmartMarks in both Packaging Layout Automation and Pandora; but you can only convert simple marks to SmartMarks in Pandora.
SmartMarks position and/or step and repeat themselves according to the materials used in the job—for example, the film, plate, substrate (press sheet), or die. These marks contain information that the Pandora software uses to define their appearance. After you add a SmartMark to the layout, you can edit it, or move it like other marks.
