There are two root events which can be used to monitor the changing of variable values. The Global Variables Changed root event can be used to monitor global variables from any rule set it is included in, and the Ruleset Variables Changed root event can be used to monitor rule set variables in the rule set it is included in.
Some example uses of these events are:
- Global Variables Changed—email the RBA Administrator any time that the value of a Global variable has changed to ensure the change is valid and expected.
- Ruleset Variables Changed—notify other instances of the rule set that the value has changed in case the instance wants to respond to the change. Note that the event is not raised in the instance that initiated the change.
