Set up communication between Prinergy 9.0.1 and the NexPress digital front end via Setup. Legacy mode of Adding Connection via Prinergy Administrator is not longer supported in Prinergy 9.0.1 and above.
Check that Prinergy supports the software version of your digital press front end. See supported digital presses.
If you have multiple NexPress presses, perform this procedure for each press on Prinergy 9.0 and lower. On Prinergy 9.0.1 and above with NexPress DFE 22 and above, please see Setup.
- Make sure that the following TCP ports are open between Prinergy and the NexPress front end:
- 61237
- 49700
- In Prinergy Administrator, add the NexPress as a digital press. On the Managed Connections menu, click Add Connection, and select the type of digital press. Type the server name or IP address and press speed for the digital press.
The digital press is listed in Digital Submit, Digital Direct, and Workshop.
Give Prinergy access to the NexPress front end so that Prinergy can track audits. On the NexPress front end, add the user account ARAXI. The default password for the Araxi account is ARAXI.
