When you are in Layout mode, you have several options for moving elements (TIFF images and marks) around in the layout.

Using the Select tool to move an element in a layout

Drag a selected object to a new location in the layout. 

  1. On the toolbar, click .
  2. Click the object you want to move and drag it to a new location.
    The Position boxes in the Element tab on the Info palette will display the updated location on the layout.

Using the Move feature in the Info palette

Move a selected element around a layout in distance increments that you define. 

  1. On the toolbar, click .
  2. Select an element.
  3. From the Info palette, select the Element tab.
  4. In the Move area, type the increment value in which to move the element.
  5. Click any direction arrow in the Element tab or on the keyboard to move the element.
  6. Repeat until the element has reached the desired location.

Using the Snap to Element option from the View menu

Move an element up against another element in the layout.

  1. From the View menu, select Snap > Snap to Element
  2. Drag an element toward another element.
    The element you are dragging snaps to the other element.

Using the Position feature in the Info palette

Define the element's position in relation to the layout.

  1. Select  an element.
  2. From the Info palette, select the Element tab. 
  3. In the Position boxes, type the desired horizontal position in the  box and the vertical position in the  box.
  4. Press Enter.
