The following table lists all activities included in this guide. Use this outline to determine which activities best suit your needs, based on your workflow and the licensed options included in your system.

Each activity is rated with a status of importance. All recommended activities will provide a fundamental understanding of the Prinergy Workflow Packaging Automation Expansion Pack workflows. Optional activities are based on your specific needs and also include activities specific to licensed options, which not everyone will have.

If you want to focus only on using Packaging Layout Automation in your workflow, Activities 1 and 52 to 58 are recommended; all the others are optional.

Activities 1 to 10 introduce and focus on the Prinergy workflow steps 1 to 4 (create a job, add input files, refine input files, edit and proof PDF artworks).

Activities 11 to 32 introduce and focus on the Prinergy workflow steps 5 to 8 (step and repeat refined artworks—with Kodak Pandora packaging layout software when necessary, output layout for proofing, output finals, and manage jobs for storage/destruction). Using ColorFlow features is also covered.

Activities 33 to 40 introduce and focus on the Prinergy automated workflows. These activities are considered advanced, and you should discuss them only after the operators acquire a solid foundation in the use of the basic Prinergy workflow.

Activities 41 to 43 introduce and focus on advanced Prinergy licensed options. You should discuss them only after the operators have acquired a solid foundation in the use of the basic Prinergy workflow.

Activities 44 to 50 introduce and focus on advanced Prinergy trapping features using the Kodak Prinergy Advanced Trap Editor software. You should discuss these activities only after the operators acquire a solid foundation in the use of the basic Prinergy workflow.

Activities 52 to 58 introduce and focus specifically on automated creation of packaging layouts using the Kodak Packaging Layout Automation software, which works in conjunction with Rules-Based Automation and Pandora.
