To perform digital output in Workshop, you need to perform the following steps:

  1. Add a digital device in the Setup application.
  2. Import the substrates.

  3. Create a job.

  4.  Add, refine, and assign an input file.

  5. Adjust job specific parameter if necessary.

  6. Select the Send to Digital option.

  7. Update the Digital Job Ticket Editor settings.

  8. Submit the job to the connected digital device.

  9. Review the job progress in Track.

Add a digital device to Prinergy

  1. In Prinergy Workshop, from the Tools menu, select Setup.
    Note: if this is the first time you use Setup, it will be automatically installed on your computer.

  2. In the left pane, click the arrow next to Equipment.

  3. Click Digital Device.
  4. Click the Add digital device  button.
  5. In the Add digital device dialog box, in the Select Digital Press list, select the required digital device and in the Sever name box, type the digital device's IP address or server name.

  6. Click Add and wait a few seconds until the device is added to the Digital Device list.

  7. Select the device to view the device details and capabilities in the pane on the right-hand side.

  8. In the pane on the right-hand side, where all the device details appear, click the Import Substrate button.

  9. In the message that appears, select whether to overwrite or skip substrates with the same name.
    The digital device paper catalog names appear in the Substrate list on the Material > Substrate tab, and in the Substrate list in the Digital Output window of Prinergy Workshop.
    Note: If the substrate list on the connected device is updated, the user can import the substrates again in Setup.
