Why you should complete this activity

Prinergy DotShop is a Kodak plug-in for Adobe Acrobat software that can set halftone screening specifications for entire PDF pages, or different objects on the pages that will be applied during the Prinergy output stage. A screen instance consists of a specific screen system, dot shape, line ruling, dot size, angle set, and angle orientation.

What you need to know

DotShop Composer software is installed on your Prinergy system and allows you to create screen instances for your printing environment. These customized screen instances are saved in a .sif (Screen instance file) and automatically made available to the Prinergy Dotshop plugin. A screen instance can specify some or all halftone screening parameters, including screen system, dot shape, screen (line) ruling, dot size, angle set, angle orientation, advanced flexographic screening, ColorFlow, or Harmony calibration curves.

Prinergy DotShop is a Kodak plug-in for Adobe Acrobat software that lets you select and edit halftone screening in PDF files. Prinergy DotShop has access to licensed screen instances on your Prinergy system (created using DotShop Composer), and allows you to apply these screen instances to objects in a PDF file.
