The Proofer Viewer window provides information about a particular proofer. For example, it displays the status of the Processor queue, the Proofer queue, calibrations, events, and so on. From Proofer Viewer, you can also create layouts, hot folders, virtual printers, spot color libraries, and so on.
You can open the following tools from the Configure menu:
Both Proofer Finder and Proofer Viewer display the current status of a given proofer.
Opening Proofer Viewer for a selected proofer
From Proofer Finder, you can open Proofer Viewer for a selected proofer. Multiple Proofer Viewer windows can be open at the same time.
In Proofer Finder, double-click the proofer’s name directly in the Proofer column to open its Proofer Viewer window.
Opening Proofer Viewer by IP address or logical name
The Proofer Viewer window provides access to a number of other windows.
Queues | Opens the Queues window. In the Proofer Viewer, the Queues window lists all proofs that have been received by the proofer but have not yet been proofed.
Calibration | Opens the Calibration window. The Calibration window displays all enabled media configurations that you can calibrate with your proofer. It also displays the status of the calibration for each media. For example, it shows whether a media needs to be calibrated or checked and when it needs to be calibrated again.
Reports | Opens the Reports window. The Reports window in the Proofer Viewer contains reports related to that proofer.
Events | Opens the Events window. The Events window in the Proofer Viewer contains events related only to that proofer.
Maintenance | Opens the Maintenance window.
Trash | Opens the Trash window. The Trash window is a temporary holding bin for sheets that have been printed or purged. Sheets and their proofs are eventually deleted from the Trash when the empty-trash schedule expires. Sheets that have been in the Trash the longest are deleted first. |
You can get detailed information about the selected proof or sheet in Proofer Viewer.
The <Sheet Name> Details dialog box appears, showing details of the selected item.
