Vector overprint handling color matches the overprint areas by creating a new vector object for each area of overlap. It matches the color of this new vector object as a separate entity. This is significantly faster than raster color management. Vector color management can be used for both proofs and plates.
Note: This is a licensed feature. Vector color management is one of the features available as part of the Proof Color Management package.

  1. From the Output To list, select an appropriate format.
  2. In the Match Colors section, select the Overprint Handling check box.
  3. In the Match Colors section, select the Overprint Handling check box.

Overprint Handling
By default, overprint handling is disabled. This provides faster file throughput but provides less accurate color matching in overprinted areas. Select the Overprint Handling check box to enable the raster or vector color manager.
When overprint handling is enabled there are two methods available:

Note: In order to use raster color management you need to have a proof color management license. See Using raster color management.
