TIFF files or layouts that you open appear in a display window within the workspace. You can resize and drag the display window around the workspace as needed.

The display window in Layout mode

When you preview a layout, the status bar of its display window shows the following information:

• x and y: The current x and y coordinates of the cursor
• Output size: The dimensions (around the cylinder  and along the cylinder ) of the area that contains the elements
• Layout size: The height and width values of the layout defined in the Layout Setup dialog box
• TIFF coverage: The area that the images cover (in percent) in the Layout and in the Output file. Right-click in the status bar and select Show Layout to switch between TIFF coverage and Layout size values.

The display window in Preview mode 

When you preview a TIFF file, the status bar of its display window shows the following information:

• x and y: The current x and y coordinates of the cursor
• Width and Height: The size of the TIFF file

Note: Opening two files opens two display windows that you can rearrange—for example, to view and compare the images side by side.

The display window in Job Planning mode

When you switch to job planning mode (Modify > Switch to Job Planning), the corrugated job "layout" appears in the display window over the previewed corrugated job files.

The purple lines indicate the carrier dimensions. The red line is the first-to-knife line (the bottom margin).

When you preview a corrugated job in job planning mode, the status bar of its display window shows the following information: 

• Total cost: The total cost of the job as displayed on the Cost tab
• Total labor time: The total labor time of assembling the carrier and mounting the slugs on the carrier (plate mounting)
• Full plate cost: The cost of the job without using slugs but when outputting the entire layout of the job as is
• x and y: The current x and y coordinates of the cursor
• Carrier Width and Height: The size of the carrier
• TIFF Width and Height: The size of the TIFF file

The display window in PDF Geometry Design mode 

When you switch to PDF geometry design mode (Modify > Switch to PDF Geometry Design), the job appears in a new display window over the previewed job files.

The displayed image is framed by two or three colored rectangles: the media box, the trim box, and (optional) the bleed box, according to the current settings in the  PDF Preferences. You cannot apply different boxes to different separations that are open together.

• Media box (red): Specifies the full size of the page—for example, the dimensions of the page or artwork. This rectangle includes any extended area surrounding the finished page for bleed, printing marks, or other similar purposes.
• Trim box (blue): Specifies the intended finished trim size of the artwork.
• Bleed box (aqua): May appear around the trim box. If the page is being output in a production environment, the bleed box specifies the region to which all page content should be clipped. In a production environment, a bleed area is required to accommodate the physical limitations of cutting, folding, and trimming equipment. The actual printed page may include printer's marks that fall outside the bleed box.

In PDF geometry design mode, the status bar of the display window shows the same information as in Preview mode:

• x and y: The current x and y coordinates of the cursor
• Width and Height: The size of the TIFF file
