Pause an enabled rule set when you need to stop it temporarily in order to change it.
- Open Rule Set Manager.
- In the Rule Set Library, click the enabled rule set.
- Select File > Pause.
Any actions that are underway continue, and the next actions in the chain also complete. The rule set stops listening for trigger events to occur, so new executing instances do not start.
Note: While the rule set is paused you can edit it. The changes take effect immediately when the rule set is resumed. If the rule set is still finishing, the executing actions complete using the old version of the rule set. - When you want to restart the rule set, in Rule Set Manager, click the rule set and select File > Resume.
The resumed rule set executes the next time that a trigger event occurs.
