• The level of existing digital knowledge
• General experience of prepress and platemaking staff
• Access to press time
• Overall scope of the implementation (number of people, amount of new workflow tools, number of different plate types and thicknesses, and so on)

For example, when implementing a ThermoFlex workflow using an existing electronic prepress system in a facility that already has experience with digital plates, customers can often be in full production within a week. However, an installation that includes a ThermoFlex device plus new workflow and screening technologies, may last several weeks. The following timeline is typical for an installation that includes a ThermoFlex device with Prinergy workflow software:

• Week 1: Prinergy classroom training
• Week 2: ThermoFlex and Prinergy installation, including determination of minimum exposure values and creation of bump curves (normally with support from the plate vendor)
• Weeks 3 and 4: Prinergy Start Up Assistance (SUA)
• Week 5: Advanced Flexo SUA: Optimizing results with Maxtone, HyperFlex, and DigiCap
