Ink type for the colorants in the PDF file is key information for trapping decisions, as is the ink printing order.

You can specify the following ink types in PDF Trap Editor:

Die line is special ink type available in the Prinergy global or per job color database. Die line colors are considered the same as transparent colors, and are not trapped.

  1. In PDF Trap Editor, select the Detailed view of the Trap Page or Trap Selection dialog box.
  2. Click the Inks tab.
  3. Select each colorant in turn, and click its Type column cell to open a list.
  4. Select an option from the ink type list for each colorant:
