Use the grid to help you align your artwork and arrange image elements symmetrically. TIFF Assembler Plus enables you to display the grid, snap elements to the grid, edit the grid, and hide it.

Displaying a grid

From the View menu, select Grid, and click Show.

Snapping elements to the grid

Use the Snap to Grid option to automatically place images along the grid. When you move an element, it moves until the edges are aligned with the nearest grid point. The Snap to Grid option does not affect elements already placed in the layout. You must move the element again to align it.

  1. Display the grid.
  2. From the View menu, select Snap, and then select Snap to Grid.
  3. Drag an element to the grid.

Editing the grid

You can define the increment and origin of the grid.

  1. From the View menu, select Grid, and click Edit.
  2. In the Grid increment section, define the space between the points of the grid:
    1. In the Horizontal box, type the horizontal distance between each point.
    2. In the Vertical box, type the vertical distance between each point.
  3. In the Grid origin section, define the grid's starting point:
    1.  In the Horizontal box, type the horizontal starting point.
    2.  In the Vertical box, type the vertical starting point.
  4. Click OK.

Hiding the grid

From the View menu, select Grid, and clear the Show option.
