  1. In Job Finder, locate your main group. Expand (if needed) the main group and select a previous job that contains an imposed layout ready for output (for example, Job XX_Pandora_Layout).
    Right-click either job and select Copy Job to create a new job named XX_Step_and_Repeat (where <XX> represents your initials).
    Note: Alternatively, you can input files as listed in the What You'll Need section of this activity and apply what you have learned to normalize the file, set trim box, color map the die line, refine the file again, and create a step and repeat layout using Pandora.
  2. Open the job XX_Step_and_Repeat. In Job Manager, select the Step and Repeats view, and then select a step and repeat layout.
  3. From the Edit menu, select Color Separations. Convert the Pantone colors to process colors. Click OK.
    Note: If you want to undo the color mapping, select the layout and then from the Edit menu, select Set Initial Separations. When asked for confirmation, click OK.
  4. Generate virtual proofs by selecting Process > Layout Proof > XX_Step and Repeat Group > XX_VirtualProof.Imposed.600.
  5. In the Start Process dialog box, click OK.
  6. In Separations view, right-click the layout name and select Open VPS files.
    Make note of the features that you have set in the step-and-repeat output process template.
  7. Quit Prinergy VPS and close the job.
