  1. In the Tools menu of Job Finder, select Preflight Profile Manager.
  2. In Preflight Profile Manager, you can see the preflight profiles installed with the system. Select the profile PrinergyDefaults.prf, clear the Locked checkbox if it was selected, and click Edit.
  3. Save the preflight profile as XX_PrinergyDefaults.prf (where <XX> is your initials) so you do not change the default profile settings. Click OK.
  4. Select your new preflight profile and click Edit. A Preflight Profile Editor opens.
  5. In the Categories pane, select Image > Resolution.
  6. In the Detect column, select the following options:
    Select the check box Resolution of color or grayscale image is above and in the data entry box, type 300 dpi
    From the pull-down menu in the Report column on the same row, select Warning
    Prinergy will now report a warning when this preflight profile is used to process any files containing images with resolution above 300 dpi.
  7. Under the Image category, select Compression, and then expand the Detect column, select the following options:
    Select Color or Grayscale Images, and then in the list of compression types, select JPEG compressed, LZW compressed and Not Compressed.
    From the pull-down menu in the Report column, select Warning.
    Select Fix: Compress With,and then select ZIP.
    Prinergy will now report a warning when this preflight profile is used to process any images that are compressed with any of the selected compression types. Prinergy will compress each of those images using ZIP compression.
  8. In the Categories pane, select Text and Line-Art and then select Text and Line-Art in the next lower level.
  9. In the Detect column, select the following options:
    Select Text is smaller than...Points and type 14 in the data entry box.
    From the pull-down menu in the Report column, select Information.
    Prinergy will now report an information message when this preflight profile is used to process any files containing text that is smaller than 14 points. This feature is helpful to alert the presence of very small text, usually 6 points or smaller.
  10. Do not change any other default settings in the preflight profile.
  11. Click Save.
  12. When asked to confirm preflight profile overwrite, click Yes.
  13. Close the Preflight Profile Manager dialog box.
