The wizard cannot go further until it knows which spectrophotometer to use for the rest of the procedure.

Cause

In order to calibrate or check calibration, you need a supported spectrophotometer attached to your computer. If you don't have a supported spectrophotometer, you must install one.

The wizard attempts to connect to the selected spectrophotometer, and the wizard alerts you when:

  1. No supported spectrophotometer is attached. The wizard prompts you to connect a supported spectrophotometer.
  2. You have a spectrophotometer that is different from the one used to make the previous calibration. If you are calibrating, the wizard prompts you to select the previously-used spectrophotometer or a new one. If you are checking calibration, you must either attach the previously-used spectrophotometer or create a new calibration with the new spectrophotometer.

Solution

Verify that the desired spectrophotometer is supported. See Matchprint Inkjet spectrophotometers.

  1. Verify that the spectrophotometer is turned on.
  2. Verify that the USB connector is securely fastened to your computer.
