The Delta-E Bar chart is a visual representation of the accuracy of your proofer's color compared to the factory-installed baseline calibrations. The Check Calibration wizard recommends whether a new calibration needs to be created. You can also visually inspect the Delta-E Bar chart and make your own determination whether calibration is necessary. Recalibrating when Kodak does not recommend doing so will not improve the color quality of your proofs.

Each patch on the measured control strip displays as one bar. The accuracy of the specific color is displayed in Delta-E 94 units (shown on the left axis of the chart). As a rule of thumb, one Delta-E 94 is a “just noticeable” difference in color to the human eye. The higher the Delta-E 94 value is, the greater the color difference.
