Note: Turn off Windows Defender real-time protection scanning before the installation. You can turn Windows Defender real-time protection back on after installation.
Procedure:
- Log on using a Windows administrator account.
- Copy all the installation files to the Kodak_Service folder on the C or D drive.
- Right click on the
Kodak Proofing Software x.x.x.x.exefile (TheEXEfile name extension might be hidden, depending on the default Windows setting), select Properties to ensure that the file is Unblock(ed) in the General section. - Double-click
Kodak Proofing Software x.x.x.x.exe. If a message asks whether to allow the program to make changes, click Yes.
Follow the on-screen instructions as they appear.
- If necessary, edit the default path to ensure the software is installed in folder: D:\Program Files\Kodak, or C:\Kodak
- If prompted to install X-Rite, reply Yes.
Continue following the on-screen instructions until finished.
When the installer indicates that it is finished, ensure that Yes, restart my system is selected, and click Done to immediately restart the computer.
