An auto task is a task to which all elements are automatically added when they are uploaded to a project. Auto tasks are useful when you have many elements to upload to the project at different times and you want the same users to review all of the elements.

When you create an auto task in a project, any elements uploaded to the project after the task is created are automatically added to the task. Elements that were uploaded to the project before the task was created are not automatically added to the auto task; you must add them manually.

You can create an unlimited number of auto tasks in a project.

If you set the status for an auto task and then another element is added to the task, the task status reverts to in progress, and you must set the status for the added element.
To create an auto task in a project, you must have a project role for the project that includes both the Create Tasks and Modify Project user rights.
