You can generate a Verification report in PDF format to see:

  • How closely your printing device matches the chosen target (comparison of the measured verification run to the target response):

    1. In ColorFlow, export the measurement chart you used to characterize the uncalibrated color response of your printing device.
    2. In Prinergy, output the measurement chart using the print calibration curve, the PCO, or the SCO.
    3. In ColorFlow, click the Verification icon  in the print calibration curve, the PCO, or the SCO.
    4. If you have multiple output versions, from the Output Version dropdown list, select the desired version.
    5. In the Charts list, select the chart you printed and click Measure.
    6. Follow the measurement wizard to measure or manually enter the measurement data.
After the measurement is completed, the calibrated measurement data appears in the Measured Responses list of the Measurement tab .
    7. Click the Measurement tab.
    8. In the Measured Responses list, select the measurement.
    9. Click Report.
    10. Do the following:
      • If you want to hide the explanatory text in the report, clear the Include explanatory text check box
      • In the Customer box, enter the report name. It will appear on the cover of the report
      • In the Subtitle box, enter additional information about the report. It will appear on the front cover and the footer of every page
      • In the Inks box, enter the ink product name or type used to print the chart
      • In the Notes box, enter the note if required
    11. Select the Compare to check box.
    12. Do the following:
      • For a print calibration curve, click Calibration Target
      • For a PCO, click Simulation Target
    13. From the Color Difference Metric list, select a desired value.
Color Difference Metric is used to compute the difference between two colors. Among the selections, dE2000 gives the best visible indication of color difference.
    14. Click Save and browse to the location where you want to save the report file.
Note: if you clear the Compare to check box, it generates a report showing you how your printing device actually prints with the curves or DeviceLink applied.
  • How closely ColorFlow expects your printing device to match the chosen target when you print with the curves or DeviceLink applied (comparison of the the predicted response to the target response)

    1. In a PCO or an SCO that you want to verify, click the Verification icon .
    2. If you have multiple output versions, from the Output Version dropdown list, select the desired version.
    3. Click the Measurement tab.
    4. In the Predicted Response list, select the predicted measurement.
