Set up the Certified Process for Color Confirmation to use a color bar and profile from a configuration file supplied by Kodak. Configuration files are available for download on the Partner Place service and support portal.
Color bar
The color bar will be an industry-standard color bar, created by one of the industry-standards organizations. You can access industry-standard color bars the following ways:
- Install configuration files for the Kodak media that you want to use. Some configuration files include industry-standards color bars, such as SWOP and Fogra color bars.
- Use Kodak Proofing Software to create an industry-standards color bar. Kodak Proofing Software includes the artwork for some industry standard organizations, such as Fogra.
Profile
The profile will be a Kodak profile. You cannot sign Kodak profiles, because Kodak has already signed them.
Procedure
You do not need to export or color-manage a color bar PDF file, because the software has everything it needs with the preinstalled components that you selected.
- If applicable, export any required signed ICC profiles or ICC DeviceLink profile to retrieve the file from Kodak Proofing Software.
- Copy the signed profiles to workflow software.
- Create the color bar using a default industry-standard artwork and a default signed ICC profile selected from the Characterization Standard list.
- Create a layout with the Certified Process for Color Confirmation option enabled and the color bar selected.
- Set up the proofing hot folder or workflow process template to use this layout, the applicable media configuration, and the proofer ICC device or DeviceLink profile.
