Hot folders created to produce color keys accept only 1-bit TIFF files without a master file (also called an .ini file). When you submit 1-bit TIFF files with a master file, the job fails.
For Matchprint Inkjet proofers, the hot folder requires a media configuration with a supported resolution. For the best results, the Resample Image setting in the media configuration should be set to Bilinear. Use the Media Configuration Editor to edit media configuration files.
- In Proofer Viewer, select Configure> Hot Folders.
- Click New.
- Perform the following actions:
- Select Hot Folder.
- In the Media Configurationlist, select a media configuration for clear media and a supported resolution.
- In the Halftone Handlinglist, select Color Keys (Hot folder only).
- In the Color Handlinglist, select a color preset.
- Set the remaining options as desired, and click Next.
- On the Input Filestab, select the 1-bit TIFF files only check box, and click Setup.
- In the Screened File Settings dialog box, in the File Name Delimiterbox, type the character used in the 1-bit TIFF file names to separate the job name from the separation name.
- Click OK.
- If this hot folder is using spot color separations, perform the following actions:
- Click the Spot Colorstab, and select a color library.
- Set the remaining options as desired.
- Click Save.
