A job ticket processor (JTP) is a software program that performs a specific processing step to help process a job ticket. Each JTP has a unique name, and there is a JTP for each kind of processing step that can be performed in the Prinergy Evo system.
There are two main groups of JTPs:
- Refine JTPs, which perform steps related to converting files into safe, reliable PDF
- Output JTPs, which perform steps related to outputting proofs, film, or plates
The Prinergy Evo system manages the distribution of these JTP system pools.
JTP status displays your licensed and installed JTPs and their status. This table describes possible entries in the Status column of the JTP status dialog box, opened via the System menu in the Prinergy Evo Client software.
Starting | JTP or pool is in the process of being added to the server. |
Running | JTP or pool has been added to the server and is ready to use. |
Stopping | JTP or pool is in the process of being stopped. |
Stopped (offline) | JTP or pool has been added to the server but is temporarily disabled. |
JTPs can be added only if you have additional JTP licenses. You can only remove your additional JTP licenses. You cannot remove your basic JTP license.
