Before configuring your Mac preferences, ensure that you are logged in to the Mac computer with the user account that will normally be used for proofing color.

Note: While Matchprint Virtual supports the use of a standard user account. The use of Parental Controls is not supported.

Reducing Transparency for Mac OS and application menu items

To prevent the Mac OS menu items such as the dock and finder and application menus from displaying undesirable color casts, it is recommended to reduce transparency.

  1. Select Apple > System Preferences.
  2. Click Accessibility.
  3. Under Vision, select Display.
  4. Select the box beside Reduce Transparency.
  5. Close the Accessibility window.
