Hardware and operating system
Macintosh Client: Prinergy VPS+ 9.5 requires Mac OS X 10.15 macOS X 11 or later. Apple recommends you have at least 1 GB of RAM; with 2GB or more of RAM, as images will display more quickly. Prinergy VPS+ software performs very well running on Macintosh computers with a 2.x GHz processor or better. Like all graphics-intensive software, performance is better with Multi-Core Intel or Mx processors.
Prinergy VPS+ 9.5 requires Windows 10Windows Client: Microsoft Windows Pro 10 or 11; Microsoft Windows Enterprise 10 or 11; Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or 2019. Basic Windows system requirements for those operating systems should be sufficient to run Prinergy VPS+ software. See your Windows operating system manual for details

Supported file types
Prinergy VPS+ software will open preview files with file name extension .VPS produced by Prinergy workflows.
VPS+ will also open high-resolution TIFF files with a file name extension of .TIF, provided they are 1-bit files.
Additionally, VPS+ can open LEN files for viewing, though it will by first create creating a TIFF translation file from the LEN file, and then opened opening the translated TIFF.
When outputting files form PrinergyfromPrinergy, you should always select Advanced TIFF Tags in Prinergy Output Process Templates , in order to embed color definitions and geometry information in VPS and TIFF files. If Advanced TIFF Tags are included in the files, VPS+ will recognize spot color names and display their color equivalents.

Generally, the lowest useful resolution of preview files is about 150 dpi. The Prinergy VPS+ software can handle 2400 dpi files without problems for single pages.
Impositions should be no higher than 1200 dpi.
