This section lists bugs and limitations that are known to exist in the software. If a future version of the software resolves a bug listed here, the bug is moved to the Fixed bugs section of the release notes accompanying that version of the software.

Limitations that are new to Prinergy 9.0.1:

Active Directory

A new user props file is created when a domain user logs into Workshop. This results in the loss of a user's process template favourites.

Preps 9.0.1 "Save As Template" causes Preps (Integrated) to hang (MAC and Win)

Note: Fixed in Preps 9.0.2. Preps 9.0.2 is available now for download and can be configured to run with Workshop 9.0.1

Preps 9.0.2 supports MAC 11 Big Sur

• Preps 9.0.0 and 9.0.1 are not supported on Big Sur.

VPS+

• Resolution of images at certain zoom percentages is not as sharp as VPS "Classic"
• Speed when changing zoom levels is not as fast as VPS "Classic". This is because VPS Classic pre-renders a limited set of zoom levels. VPS+ currently allows any zoom percentage, but you pay a price in terms of speed for this flexibility. Future versions of VPS+ will adopt pre-rendered views to improve performance.
• VPS+ is only installed on Macintosh OS 10.15 and higher systems. Windows and Mac clients prior to 10.15 will remain with VPS Classic until VPS+ has feature and performance parity with VPS Classic.

Limitations relevant to Prinergy 9.0.1 and previous versions:

Note: The M1 chipset is not officially supported at this time.

Dashboard has been removed  in Prinergy 9.0 and is no longer supported

With the end of support for Adobe Flash, Dashboard is no longer available in Prinergy. Dashboard functionality is migrating to the PRINERGY On Demand portal. See PartnerPlace answer ID 75256 for more information.

Setup client interface is no longer available in macOS Workshop client

The Setup client interface has been removed from the Prinergy Workshop client on macOS due to Silverlight End Of Service Life by Oct. 12, 2021. Setup continues to be available with the Windows Prinergy Workshop client.

PDF Editor Adobe Illustrator Plugin is no longer installed as of Prinergy 9.0

macOS Mojave (10.14), Catalina (10.15) support

• The shortcut WorkshopInstaller does not work properly. If you double-click it, Workshop will not be installed.

Workaround 

1. Connect to the WkspInstall share on the server.
2. Within the share, navigate to MacOSX>Disk1>InstData 
3. Double-click the WorkshopInstaller application to begin the installation.

Managed Services - Line Extension License entitlement

The current Managed Services entitlement under the Line Extension License feature may not be reflected in the number of JTPs you are licensed for on your Prinergy Primary. Version 9.0.0 is currently limited to a maximum of seven trapper JTPs and 15 Register JTPs. 

Digital Job Ticket Editor

• In Windows, when using Digital Job Ticket Editor from within Workshop to edit a job ticket, it is intended to behave as a modal window, that is, it should prevent interactions with other elements of the Workshop client user interface until you have completed your interaction with Digital Job Ticket Editor. The current behavior on Windows is non-modal and incorrectly allows other elements in the Workshop client to be edited while Digital Job Ticket Editor is open. Therefore, it is not recommended to do anything in Workshop until you have finished using Digital Job Ticket Editor (clicking Submit or Cancel ). [PRINERGY-40231]

• When using Digital Job Ticket Editor from within Workshop (Send to Digital command) or when opening Device Track from the Workshops Tools menu, the Measurement Unit defined in Workshop's Preferences is used and the Weight Unit and Thickness Unit (Caliper) are taken from Setup's Preferences.
  When Device Track is opened on the web (not from within Workshop), all unit settings in Digital Job Ticket Editor are taken from Setup's Preferences. [PRINERGY-42049]

• Settings available In RBA are not necessarily relevant to all digital devices. If you set a parameter which is not relevant for the selected device, this setting will be ignored when the rule is executed.
• Digital Job Ticket Editor can only display substrates in the Substrate drop down list that have sizes assigned. If a user creates a substrate on the digital device that lacks a defined size, it will not be sent to Prinergy and will not appear in Prinergy's Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-46624]
• Digital Job Ticket Editor's Substrate drop down cannot display two substrates with the same name. If a user defines two substrates with the same name and size only one of them will be appear in Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-46624]

• Commas are not supported as a decimal separator in the Job Ticket Editor. To change the number format, open the Region control panel and press the Additional Settings button. When the Customize Format window appears, select the Numbers tab and make sure that the Decimal symbol is set to a period (.).

  

Device Track

• In order for Device Track to operate correctly within Internet Explorer 11, the setting Display intranet sites in Compatibility View must be disabled. This setting is enabled by default.
  To change the Compatibility View setting, in Internet Explorer, from the Tools menu, select Compatibility View Settings, and in the Compatibility View Settings dialog box, clear the Display intranet sites in Compatibility View check box, and click Close to apply the change. [PRINERGY-41259]
• In Internet Explorer 11, when you use the Refresh button in the browser to refresh Device Track, sometimes the data displayed is the data saved in its cache and not the data from the server.

• When using Internet Explorer with Device Track, Device Track requires version 11 or later. [PRINERGY-41757]

• Resizing columns in Device Track may result in columns being pushed off screen. [PRINERGY-41180]

• An issue with status reporting coming from Kodak Xpo can cause the In Process queues in Prinergy’s Device Track UI and Xpo to get out of sync and display output separation in the wrong order in Device Track. [PRINERGY-47843]

• After successful completion of output to EFI or Canon digital front-ends, the completed output jobs are absent from all queues in Device Track. [PRINERGY-47923] [PRINERGY-43780]

• In some older versions of EFI Fiery software, the number of inks reported was limited to five. This would cause jobs with more than five colors to incorrectly limit their color reporting back to Prinergy’s Device Track UI to five colors. [PRINERGY-46698]

• When resubmitting a separation via Device Track, the separation receives a new Job ID from the device control software (Xpo or Print Console). This is due to the separation being treated as a new output instance rather than a remake of a previous output.

• Incomplete Notification Messages on Prinergy 9.0 Track with Print Console 5.16 [PRINERGY-52855]

• Device messages prompt on Print Console 5.24 do not pop up on Prinergy 9.0.2 TRACK > Device Messages Window [PRINERGY-52855]

TIFF Direct CTP connectivity

• When resubmitting a job to Print Console, two instances of the job will appear in the Print Console queue. The original job will include a note indicating it was removed by a Prinergy Workshop client, but still appears in the list. The second instance is the resubmitted job.[PRINERGY-46206]
• When adding a new media configuration, such as a new plate size, to a CTP output device, there is a delay of about one minute between adding it to the device and the new media appearing in Prinergy Workflow's UI via the new TIFF Direct connectivity. [PRINERGY-46439]
• When adding or removing punch settings on a CTP device, the status change is not communicated to Prinergy Workflow. If you add or remove a punch from a CTP device, you must disconnect the device from the Prinergy Administrator (UADM) and reconnect it to refresh the punch status. [PRINERGY-46404]
• The Cut Media check box in the Device section of the final output process template is not supported by Xpo and Print Console and should not be selected.[PRINERGY-46874]
• The Punch Setting list contains all available punch settings for the selected device. When you select a punch setting, make sure you select a punch that is compatible with the selected media.
• VMR (Variable Mainscan Resolution) imaging is not supported with Xpo. [PRINERGY-47187]
• VMR (Variable Mainscan Resolution) imaging is not supported with Print Console. [PRINERGY-47338]

• When using a slugline mark with the updated sluglinemark positioning settings in the process template with direct (GDAPI) and TIFF Direct connectivity to CTP devices, the slugline mark may appear in the wrong location on the plate. [PRINERGY-46463] 

CTP connectivity

• When using a slugline mark with the updated sluglinemark positioning settings in the process template with direct (GDAPI) and TIFF Direct connectivity to CTP devices, the slugline mark may appear in the wrong location on the plate. [PRINERGY-46463] 

• When adding or removing punch settings on a CTP device, the status change is not communicated to Prinergy Workflow. If you add or remove a punch from a CTP device, you must restart the JTP and define a new process template. [PRINERGY-46404]

Setup

• Due to limitations in third-party JDF implementation, some settings may not flow back to Prinergy Workflow’s Setup application when updated in the front end software. This can include: binding edge, maximum density, layout, and sheet size options. [PRINERGY-39050] [PRINERGY-39982] [PRINERGY-40039] [PRINERGY-40045] [PRINERGY-41511] [PRINERGY-41632] [PRINERGY-41732] [PRINERGY-41745] [PRINERGY-41836] [PRINERGY-41906]

• Setup may have problems being installed via Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
  To install Setup via Microsoft Silverlight with Microsoft Edge, see the following support article from Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17472/windows-internet-explorer-11-fix-site-display-problems-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11. [PRINERGY-41686]
  If you are having problems installing via Chrome, use a different browser. [PRINERGY-41032]
• Setup cannot be installed via Firefox on Mac OS X 10.12 because Firefox on Mac OS X 10.12 does not support Microsoft Silverlight. Use a different browser to install and to start Setup. [PRINERGY-44565]
• If you try to import substrates and/or reload device capabilities (in Setup > Equipment > Digital Device) from a connected press or DFE while this device is down, the substrates and/or device settings will no longer be visible in the Digital Job Ticket Editor when you submit a job. Once the device is up and running, you must re-import the substrates and/or reload the device capabilities so that they are visible again in the Digital Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-45261] 
• Setup is not localized with Chinese and Japanese on macOS Sierra (version 10.12) and macOS High Sierra (version 10.13) because of missing fonts. [PRINERGY-46365] 
  To solve this issue, install the missing fonts:
  1. MS Gothic.ttf -> for Japanese
  2. 华文黑体.ttf -> for Chinese
• Setup cannot be installed on macOS workstations with Safari 12 installed. If you use Setup to configure items like Digital Press settings on your Prinergy server, we suggest delaying updating Safari to version 12 until Prinergy has been officially qualified with Safari 12.[PRINERGY-49332]

Job search

• In Job Finder, in the job advanced search feature, the search fails if you use the is not operator with a numerical value. [PRINERGY-38941]
• In Job Finder, in the job advanced search feature, if you select Any, the search results contain both jobs and pre-jobs that match the defined search criteria. [PRINERGY-39664]

Integration with ColorFlow

The following limitations have been identified for using the ColorFlow software with Prinergy:

• Pages added to a ColorFlow-enabled job using Prinergy's Bypass Refine will have undefined Color Setup. This is expected behavior. Refining with ColorConvert enabled is recommended with ColorFlow integration.

• If you attempt to output a file with a different snapshot number from the number you defined in the refine process template, an error message appears.

ColorConvert

The following ColorConvert problems have been identified:

• Color matching certain files with transparent objects can result in significant changes in appearance. The problem is file specific and is dependent on the transparency blending modes applied, the object's color and the DeviceLink or ICC profile used to colorconvert the objects. The problem occurs because each graphic and image object used in the transparency group is color-converted separately. Blending of the objects in the destination color space changes the appearance.
  Recommendation: Flatten the PDF files. If your PDF files contain RGB data, it is highly recommended to Color-Convert this data prior to flattening. Please refer to Partner Place Answer ID 72326 for best practices and setting up a 2-Step refine.
  Note: Contone proofing cannot be used to predict this issue when colormatching is performed on final output.

• ColorMatch vector overprint handling of certain files with transparency groups that also use overprint management can generate unexpected results. The new objects generated by the ColorMatcher vector overprint handling process end up ruining the appearance. Contone proofing with raster overprint handling cannot be used to predict the problem with vector overprint handling used on final output. See the Prinergy help for detailed descriptions about the processing differences between raster and vector overprint handling.
  Recommendation: Flatten the PDF files. If your PDF files contain RGB data, it is highly recommended to Color-Convert this data prior to flattening. Refer to Answer ID 72326 for best practices and setting up a 2-Step refine.

• RGB Transparency Blend Color Space is not supported. Blend spaces should only be defined as DeviceCMYK.
  Recommendation: Change the blend space in the input file or set up a Preflight+ profile to detect and/or fix the condition.

• ColorConvert is automatically selected in Vector Output process templates after you upgrade to Prinergy 8.3. This is due to a migration script bug. If you have a Basic License which doesn’t enable ColorConvert, vector output will fail. If you are licensed for advanced Color Management, Color Conversion will be applied at output and may cause incorrect output. [PRINERGY-42167]
  Workaround: open any Vector Output process templates which should not have ColorConvert enabled and clear the ColorConvert checkbox.

Preflight+

• When upgrading to Prinergy 9.0 from 7.5.x, 8.0.x, or 8.1.x Custom Checks and Fixups will not be migrated as their own entities. However, profiles referencing Custom Checks and Fixups will have been updated to incorporate the Custom Checks and Fixups; meaning, they will continue to work as they did prior to upgrading.

• callas process plans and profiles that create layers or contain unlicensed DeviceLinks are not supported.

• Kodak does not support or provide a license of callas pdfToolbox software. However, a copy of pdfToolbox (Preflight+ Profile Manager) is provided and licensed solely for the purpose of editing and creating preflight profiles that are to be used within Prinergy. Modification of the license as well as changing or upgrading the version of callas pdfToolbox that is provided with Prinergy is not recommended and not supported by Kodak. Kodak does not provide assistance or support for editing or creating new callas profiles. For information and support with the creation and editing of profiles, go to https://www.callassoftware.com/goto/tbx_ENG_documentation.
  Note: Kodak does support issues related to the integration of callas preflight within Prinergy Workshop.

• Overview reports contain information from all pages in a multi-page PDF input file. When you open the report, it may contain information about pages you haven't selected.
• Report Page links are supported only when you copy the full report.

• callas fix-ups are "use at own risk". Exercise extra caution and check your proofs closely when applying fix-ups.

• callas Profiles and Prinergy support different variations of the Chinese character set.

  • Simplified = ZH_CN (callas) = PRC

  • Simplified = ZH_Hans (Prinergy) = South East Asia and Singapore

• callas template-based reports via PDFToolBox are not available in Preflight+ in Prinergy.

• Because each PDF report contains a full copy of the original input PDF file, using Preflight+ may result in higher demands on storage space in your job home disks. 

• To avoid Preflight+ becoming a bottleneck in the Refine process, it is advised to purchase the same amount of Preflight+ JTPs as Refine JTPs.
• The use of variables that prompt users for input are not supported.
• New Libraries for organizing Checks and Fixups into categories.
  Note: Profiles with Devicelink, Javascript and Variables are not supported.
• The "Test" function seen when creating new profiles is not supported

Adobe PDF Print Engine

The Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) RIP cannot process PDF files containing embedded PostScript objects, including pages that were processed with PostScript bypass or with the OPI bypass features of Prinergy.

The APPE RIP is the preferred RIP for Prinergy.

As of APPE 4.7 a maximum of 123 spots colors is supported (in addition to the four CMYK process colors, for a total of 127 colors).

Observe the following precautions:

• Proofs and plates: In plating jobs with the APPE RIP, be careful with plates that were proofed with the previous APPE RIP. Because the RIPs are different, there is a slight chance of an interpretation difference between proof and plate. Ideally, jobs should be plated with the same version of Prinergy that was used to generate the proofs.
  Note: To avoid this situation you should coordinate hub and spoke configurations when upgrading Prinergy.

• Reprints: For reprints of jobs that were printed previously using an older RIP, it is recommended that you rerun proofs using the new RIP to ensure there are no unforeseen differences between the original press run and the reprint.

PANTONE+ V3 libraries

In keeping with PANTONE best practice guidelines, all previous PANTONE libraries have been removed as factory libraries and will no longer appear in your process templates. Previous Prinergy PANTONE libraries are provided in archive format and can be imported as user libraries, if desired, for legacy reprint jobs. For more details, see About PANTONE libraries.

Maxtone CX, Maxtone FX, and Maxtone SX RIP

Kodak Maxtone CX, Maxtone FX, and Maxtone SX screens are available for APPE RIP only. They are not available for use with CPSI RIP.

System spot color library L*a*b* 2000

When system spot color library L*a*b* 2000 is added to a refine process template, it may not appear in the spot color libraries list but it will be available to be used by refine processes created from the refine process template. [PRINERGY-44022]

Refine to PDF/x-1a fails when Lab Spot Color Libraries are loaded and you are NOT converting Spots

As of Prinergy 8.0, all factory Spot Color libraries were replaced with Pantone V3 Lab libraries. If you refine a file that contains a Spot Color that is defined in the Lab library, the Spot Colors Alternate Color Space will change to Lab. Since Lab is not allowed in PDF/x-1a, the process will fail.

To resolve this, you can remove the PANTONE V3 library or load a CMYK library, such as a legacy user or ColorBridge library (Answer ID 73041). 
Note: If your incoming PDF has Spots with LAB Alternate Color space, you will want to have a CMYK Pantone library loaded, otherwise refine will also fail.

When converting Spots to Process, its recommended to use the new PANTONE V3 Library. See the About Pantone Libraries section of the Workflow Help for more information. [PRINERGY-43630]

Selecting “Replace variable marks in PDF content files” causes incorrect overprints on some objects 

When using this setting you must follow the procedure outlined in Partner Place Answer ID 69302. Failing to do so could result in serious Output problems.

Additional Register JTPs configured to run on a secondary server are incorrectly homed on the primary server after restart

[Prinergy-34180]

Windows Server 2016 and 2019 operating systems

The following limitations have been identified when running Prinergy using the Windows Server 2016 and 2019 operating systems:

• Not all legacy Kodak computer-to-plate (CTP) devices have controlled release software that is compatible with Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019. Contact your Kodak representative to confirm if your CTP device has a compatible controlled release software available.

Limitations with SMB 2 and SMB 3 on Windows Servers in mixed environments

• By default, Prinergy servers running Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 are shipped with SMB 2 and 3 enabled.
• For best performance, all Prinergy servers and tertiary servers should be running the same operating system version. If any of the tertiary servers are not running at least Windows Server 2012 R2, SMB 2 and 3 need to be disabled so that SMB 1 is used. If this is not done, this can cause performance and file access/transfer issues. For assistance in disabling SMB 2 and 3, contact your local support representative.

Network File System connectivity

Prinergy does not support The Open Group UNIX NFS (Open Group UNIX Network File System). You can access UNIX servers using an SMB/CIFS protocol installed on the server (such as SAMBA).

NexPress Job Ticket Editor cannot be launched by Digital Submit on Windows 10

When running Digital Submit with NexPress on Windows 10, the Job Ticket Editor in Digital Submit fails to launch. [PRINERGY-41688]

Workarounds: To launch the NexPress Job Ticket Editor:

• Run Digital Submit and NexPress Job Ticket Editor on a workstation with a different operating system
• Manually launch the NexPress Job Ticket Editor outside Digital Submit.

HP Job Ticket Editor cannot be installed on Windows 8 and Windows 10

The HP Job Ticket Editor is software available from HP which is used in Prinergy Workflow when connecting to HP digital presses. The latest version of the software available from HP is not compatible with Windows 8 and Windows 10 operating systems. HP is aware of the issue and will address it in a future product update. [PRINERGY-41575]

HP

• When using a Hewlett Packard SmartStream DFE connected to multiple presses, each press connected to the SmartStream DFE consumes a connection license from Prinergy Workflow. If you have more presses connected to the SmartStream DFE than you have licenses for connections in Prinergy Workflow, Prinergy will not be able to connect with all presses connected to the SmartStream DFE. [PRINERGY-44364]
• If you try to import substrates and/or reload device capabilities (in Setup > Equipment > Digital Device) from a connected press or DFE while this device is down, the substrates and/or device settings will no longer be visible in the Digital Job Ticket Editor when you submit a job. Once the device is up and running, you must re-import the substrates and/or reload the device capabilities so that they are visible again in the Digital Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-44749]
• HP DFE with multiple connected presses does not recognize Prinergy server by its name. Make sure the Prinergy server name is correctly resolved on the DFE. For a DFE running on Windows, add the Prinergy host name and IP address in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host [PRINERGY-45428]

Ricoh 

• Perfect bound jobs with covers sent to Ricoh digital front end with PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak type S4 may result in output with incorrect orientation. [PRINERGY-42077] 

• Due to limitations in JDF implementation for Ricoh digital front end with PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak type S4, layout options are not currently supported. [PRINERGY-39050] 

• When sending a surface to Ricoh, the binding edge defined in the job will rotate 90 degrees clockwise due to geometry translation, but the end result of the output at the printer will be correct. If you have questions, contact your Kodak representative for assistance. [PRINERGY-42029]

• Jobs printed successfully move to On Hold queue rather than Completed queue in Device Track. This is a known Ricoh bug. [PRINERGY-45100]

Konica Minolta

The status of coated or uncoated stock may not be imported or reflected correctly in Prinergy Setup for digital connections to Konica Minolta IC-602 or C1070 digital printer front end software. Job settings may need to be manually updated in the Konica Minolta software to complete output successfully. [PRINERGY-43211]

EFI

• Due to a limitation in the bi-directional communication with EFI’s software, completed jobs are do not appear in Prinergy Workflow’s Device Track Completed queue and are not present in any queues upon completion. [PRINERGY-43780]
• Due to an EFI issue with bi-directional connectivity, Prinergy Device Track displays incorrect number of inks. [PRINERGY-46698]
• Due to a known EFI process with legacy JDF connectivity, jobs are not printed directly, but go to the On Hold queue first. [PRINERGY-46646]

Prinergy Workshop localized to Japanese

Submitting a file to Prinergy Workshop localized to Japanese via drag and drop to a process template may cause Workshop to quit unexpectedly. [PRINERGY-43660] 

Prinergy Signature Select Limitations

Prinergy Signature Selection works in Preps 5 mode. Therefore, there are several limitations related to working with Preps 6 or later.

Editing impositions

• It is not possible to edit come-and-go, cut-and-stack, and multibinding style jobs with Signature Selection. If you try to edit an imposition that uses any of these styles, the Use Prinergy Signature Selection option will not be available in the Edit Imposition dialog box. Instead, you will be able to select Use External Imposition Application to start Preps.
• If you create a come-and-go or cut-and-stack imposition using Signature Selection, and then edit the imposition using Preps 6 or later, a warning message appears, indicating that the job was produced in an earlier version of Preps. You can ignore this message.

Importing Impositions

• Signature Selection does not support import of Preps 6 jobs with come-and-go or cut-and-stack binding styles. When creating a new imposition, if you select Use existing Preps job and select a Preps 6 job with a come-and-go or cut-and-stack binding style, an error message appears. You have the choice of selecting a different job file or using external imposition software to create the imposition.

Creating Impositions

• When you create a new imposition, the come-and-go or cut-and-stack binding styles are available in Preps 5 mode only.
• Preps 5 and 6 differ in the way that they display cut-and-stack and come-and-go jobs. In Preps 6, cut-and-stack jobs are shown as multiple webs, and come-and-go jobs are shown as multiple sections. In Prinergy Workshop, such jobs are displayed in the Preps 6 format, while in Signature Selection, they are displayed in the Preps 5 format. This is just a difference in display. The page assignment is correct and the imposition will print correctly.

Auto Select in Prinergy Signature Selection

The use of Auto Select in Prinergy Signature Selection may produce different results from the use of Auto Select in Preps. Check that Auto Select produces the expected results.

If required, you can use Move Up or Move Down to adjust the signature order, or use Add or Delete to get the right signature.
To prevent the problem, edit the PrepsPrinergy.cfg and the PrepsPrinergy.cfg.template files to include the line:
AUTOSELECT_MINIMUM_PAGES:1.

Re-editing imposition of imported job may not work in certain cases

Re-editing a Preps imposition from Workshop may not work for certain imported jobs. If the imported job contains an imposition name that is greater than 25 characters and had an imposition that was previously edited and the older version was deleted. To prevent this issue when editing existing impositions always choose the import option to "Keep existing imposition". [PRINERGY-50121]

RBA

Rules Based Automation (RBA) may not start after upgrading to Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 or later. To address this issue, if encountered, see Partner Place answer 73601.

Creating Jobs Fails After Downgrading to Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 from Prinergy Workflow 9.0

If a downgrade to Prinergy 8.1.2 is required after upgrading to 9.0.0, errors may be encountered with creating jobs in the downgraded 8.1.2 server.

If you encounter this problem, contact your Kodak service representative to address the issue with your Prinergy system. [PRINERGY-46987]

Setup fails after downgrading to Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 from Prinergy Workflow 9.0.0

McAfee 10.5.3 / 10.6 cannot be installed and run on Windows 2016 if Windows Defender is installed. This is a limitation of the McAfee anti-virus software that requires Windows Defender to be uninstalled on systems you wish to install McAfee on. [PRINERGY-48947]

Adding an output device in Prinergy Administrator may not work

The first time you attempt to add an output device in Prinergy Administrator after restarting the server Prinergy is running on, Prinergy Administrator may crash. You will be able to add the device successfully after restarting the Prinergy Administrator interface.[PRINERGY-48874]

Acrobat 2017 and 2020 Support 

Acrobat 2017 and 2020 are one-time purchase release updates of Acrobat DC (similar to the original Acrobat 2015 release). The Prinergy Workshop installer does not detect the folder location for Acrobat 2017 or 2020. If you are using the version of Acrobat DC that is sold and labeled as Acrobat 2017 or 2020, you will need to manually install the Acrobat DC plugins in Acrobat 2017 or 2020.

VPS+

• VPS+ kann die Vorder- und Rückseite eines Ausschießschemas nicht gleichzeitig anzeigen, Seiten können nur einzeln betrachtet werden.
• Die Auflösung von Bildern bei bestimmten Prozentwerten für die Vergrößerung ist nicht so scharf wie VPS „Classic“.
• Die Geschwindigkeit beim Ändern der Zoom-Stufen ist nicht so schnell wie bei VPS „Classic“. Dies liegt daran, dass VPS Classic eine begrenzte Anzahl von Zoom-Stufen vorrendert. VPS+ erlaubt derzeit jeden Prozentwert für die Vergrößerung, doch diese Flexibilität ist kostenpflichtig (je nach Geschwindigkeit). Zukünftige Versionen von VPS+ werden vorgerenderte Ansichten übernehmen, um die Leistung zu verbessern.
• VPS+ ist nur auf Macintosh-Systemen mit OS 10.15 und höher installiert. Windows- und Mac-Clients vor 10.15 bleiben bei VPS Classic, bis die aktuellen VPS+-Einschränkungen behoben sind.

Preps 9.0.0

Zusammenstellungsansicht, Druckdurchlaufansicht und Textmarken sind auf Mac-Workstations mit einer bestimmten Grafikkarte verschwommen – BEHOBEN in Preps 9.0.1 (demnächst verfügbar).

Die aktuelle Berechtigung für Managed Services unter der Funktion „Line Extension-Lizenz“ wird möglicherweise nicht in der Anzahl der JTPs wiedergegeben, für die Sie auf Prinergy Primary Lizenzen besitzen. Version 9.0.0 ist derzeit auf maximal 7 Trapper-JTPs und 15 Register-JTPs beschränkt. 

Digital Job Ticket Editor

• Wenn Sie unter Windows in Workshop ein Job-Ticket mit Digital Job Ticket Editor bearbeiten, soll sich ein modales Fenster öffnen, d. h. es sollen Interaktionen mit anderen Elementen in der Workshop-Client-Benutzeroberfläche vermieden werden, bis Sie Ihre Interaktion mit dem Digital Job Ticket Editor abgeschlossen haben. Aktuell werden unter Windows keine modalen Fenster verwendet, und Windows erlaubt unzulässigerweise, dass andere Elemente im Workshop-Client bearbeitet werden können, während der Digital Job Ticket Editor geöffnet ist. Es wird daher empfohlen, keine Bearbeitungen in Workshop vorzunehmen, bis Sie Ihre Arbeit mit Digital Job Ticket Editor beendet haben (durch Klicken auf Senden oder Abbrechen ). [PRINERGY-40231]

• Wenn Sie Digital Job Ticket Editor in Workshop verwenden (Befehl An Digitaldruckmaschine senden), oder wenn Sie Device Track über das Menü Werkzeuge heraus öffnen, wird die Maßeinheit verwendet, die unter „Einstellungen“ in Workshop festgelegt wurde, und die Gewichtseinheit sowie die Stärkeeinheit (Klischeestärke) werden aus den Voreinstellungen unter „Einrichtung“ übernommen.

• Einstellungen, die für RBA verfügbar sind, sind nicht zwingend für alle digitalen Geräte relevant. Wenn Sie einen Parameter festlegen, der für das ausgewählte Gerät nicht relevant ist, wird diese Einstellung ignoriert, wenn die Regel ausgeführt wird.
• Der Digital Job Ticket Editor kann nur Druckträger in der Dropdown-Liste Druckträger anzeigen, die Größen zugewiesen sind. Wenn ein Benutzer einen Druckträger auf dem digitalen Gerät erstellt, das keine definierte Größe aufweist, wird er nicht an Prinergy gesendet und nicht im Job Ticket Editor von Prinergy angezeigt. [PRINERGY-46624]
• Das Dropdown-Menü Druckträger in Digital Job Ticket Editor kann keine zwei Druckträger mit demselben Namen anzeigen. Wenn ein Benutzer zwei Druckträger mit demselben Namen und derselben Größe definiert, wird nur einer von ihnen im Job Ticket Editor angezeigt. [PRINERGY-46624]

• Kommas werden im Job Ticket Editor nicht als Dezimaltrennzeichen unterstützt. Um das Zahlenformat zu ändern, öffnen Sie das Bedienfeld „Region“, und drücken Sie die Taste „Zusätzliche Einstellungen“. Wenn das Fenster „Format anpassen“ angezeigt wird, wählen Sie die Registerkarte „Zahlen“ aus, und stellen Sie sicher, dass das Dezimalsymbol auf einen Punkt (.) eingestellt ist.

  

Device Track

• Damit Device Track im Internet Explorer 11 ordnungsgemäß funktioniert, muss die Einstellung Intranetsites in Kompatibilitätsansicht anzeigen deaktiviert werden. Diese Einstellung ist standardmäßig aktiviert.
  Um die Einstellungen der Kompatibilitätsansicht zu ändern, wählen Sie im Internet Explorer aus dem Menü Extras die Option Einstellungen der Kompatibilitätsansicht, und entfernen Sie im Dialogfeld „Einstellungen der Kompatibilitätsansicht“ das Häkchen aus dem Kontrollkästchen Intranetsites in Kompatibilitätsansicht anzeigen. Klicken Sie anschließend auf Schließen, um die Änderungen zu übernehmen. [PRINERGY-41259]
• Wenn Sie im Internet Explorer 11 auf die Schaltfläche zum Aktualisieren klicken, um Device Track zu aktualisieren, werden manchmal die Daten angezeigt, die im Cache abgelegt wurden und nicht die Daten vom Server.

• Wenn Sie den Internet Explorer mit Device Track verwenden, benötigt Device Track Version 11 oder höher. [PRINERGY-41757]

• Das Ändern der Spaltengrößen in Device Track kann dazu führen, dass Spalten aus dem Bildschirmbereich verdrängt werden. [PRINERGY-41180]

• Ein Problem mit dem Statusbericht von Kodak Xpo kann dazu führen, dass die Warteschlange In Bearbeitung in der Device Track-Benutzeroberfläche von Prinergy und in Xpo nicht mehr synchron ist und die Ausgabe von Farbauszügen in der falschen Reihenfolge in Device Track anzeigt. [PRINERGY-47843]

• Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss der Ausgabe an digitale Eingabesysteme von EFI oder Canon fehlen die abgeschlossenen Ausgabeaufträge in allen Warteschlangen in Device Track. [PRINERGY-47923] [PRINERGY-43780]

• In einigen älteren Versionen der Software EFI Fiery war die Anzahl der gemeldeten Tinten auf fünf begrenzt. Dies führte dazu, dass Jobs mit mehr als fünf Farben fälschlicherweise ihre Farbberichte an die Device Track-Benutzeroberfläche von Prinergy auf fünf Farben beschränkten. [PRINERGY-46698]

• Wird ein Auszug über Device Track erneut gesendet, wird dem Auszug eine neue Job-ID von der Gerätesteuerungssoftware (Xpo oder Print Console) zugewiesen. Der Auszug wird also als eine neue Ausgabeinstanz behandelt und nicht als Neufertigung einer vorherigen Ausgabe.

TIFF Direct CTP-Konnektivität

• Wenn Sie einen Job an Print Console weiterleiten, werden zwei Instanzen des Jobs in der Print Console-Warteschlange angezeigt. Der ursprüngliche Job enthält einen Hinweis, der angibt, dass er von einem Prinergy Workshop-Client entfernt wurde, wird aber in der Liste weiterhin angezeigt. Die zweite Instanz ist der erneut weitergeleitete Job.[PRINERGY-46206]
• Beim Hinzufügen einer neuen Medienkonfiguration, z. B. einer neuen Plattengröße, zu einem CTP-Ausgabegerät gibt es eine Verzögerung von etwa einer Minute zwischen dem Hinzufügen zum Gerät und der Anzeige des neuen Mediums über die neue TIFF-Direktverbindung in der Benutzeroberfläche von Prinergy Workflow. [PRINERGY-46439]
• Beim Hinzufügen oder Entfernen von Stanzeinstellungen auf einem CTP-Gerät wird die Statusänderung Prinergy Workflow nicht mitgeteilt. Wenn Sie eine Stanzung zu einem CTP-Gerät hinzufügen oder davon entfernen, müssen Sie das Gerät vom Prinergy Administrator (UADM) trennen und erneut verbinden, um den Stanzstatus zu aktualisieren. [PRINERGY-46404]
• Das Kontrollkästchen Medium ausschneiden im Abschnitt Gerät der Endausgabe-Prozessvorlage wird von Xpo und Print Console nicht unterstützt und sollte nicht ausgewählt werden. [PRINERGY-46874]
• Die Liste der Stanzeinstellungen enthält alle verfügbaren Stanzeinstellungen für das ausgewählte Gerät. Wenn Sie eine Stanzeinstellung auswählen, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie eine Stanzung auswählen, die mit den ausgewählten Medien kompatibel ist.
• Die VMR-Bildgebung (Variable Mainscan Resolution) wird mit Xpo nicht unterstützt. [PRINERGY-47187]
• Die VMR-Bildgebung (Variable Mainscan Resolution) wird mit Print Console nicht unterstützt. [PRINERGY-47338]

• Bei Verwendung einer Kennzeilenmarke mit den aktualisierten Kennzeilenpositionseinstellungen in der Prozessvorlage mit direkter (GDAPI) und TIFF Direct-Konnektivität zu CTP-Geräten kann die Kennzeilenmarke an der falschen Position auf der Platte erscheinen. [PRINERGY-46463] 

CTP-Konnektivität

• Bei Verwendung einer Kennzeilenmarke mit den aktualisierten Kennzeilenpositionseinstellungen in der Prozessvorlage mit direkter (GDAPI) und TIFF Direct-Konnektivität zu CTP-Geräten kann die Kennzeilenmarke an der falschen Position auf der Platte erscheinen. [PRINERGY-46463] 

• Beim Hinzufügen oder Entfernen von Stanzeinstellungen auf einem CTP-Gerät wird die Statusänderung Prinergy Workflow nicht mitgeteilt. Wenn Sie eine Stanze einem CTP-Gerät hinzufügen oder von diesem entfernen, müssen Sie den JTP neu starten und eine neue Prozessvorlage definieren. [PRINERGY-46404]

Einrichtung

• Aufgrund von Beschränkungen bei der JDF-Implementierung von anderen Herstellern werden manche Einstellungen unter Umständen nicht in die Setup-Anwendung von Prinergy Workflow übernommen, wenn sie in der Eingabesystem-Software aktualisiert wurden. • Bei der Installation des Setups über Microsoft Edge und Google Chrome treten möglicherweise Probleme auf.

• Wenn Sie von einer verbundenen Druckmaschine und/oder einem verbundenen DFE Druckträger importieren oder Gerätefunktionen erneut laden (unter „Einrichten“ > Ausrüstung > Digitales Gerät), während das Gerät nicht verfügbar ist, werden die Einstellungen für die Druckträger und/oder das Gerät im Digital Job Ticket Editor nicht mehr angezeigt, wenn Sie einen Job senden. Wenn das Gerät wieder normal läuft, müssen Sie die Substrate erneut importieren und/oder die Gerätefunktionen erneut laden, damit sie im Digital Job Ticket Editor wieder angezeigt werden. [PRINERGY-45261] 
• Das Setup ist aufgrund fehlender Schriftarten auf macOS Sierra (Version 10.12) und macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13) nicht auf Chinesisch und Japanisch lokalisiert. [PRINERGY-46365] 
  Um dieses Problem zu beheben, installieren Sie die fehlenden Schriftarten:
  1. MS Gothic.ttf -> für Japanisch
  2. 华文黑体.ttf -> für Chinesisch
• Setup kann nicht auf macOS-Arbeitsstationen installiert werden, auf denen Safari 12 installiert ist. Wenn Sie Setup verwenden, um Elemente wie die Einstellungen der Digitaldruckmaschine auf Ihrem Prinergy-Server zu konfigurieren, empfehlen wir, die Aktualisierung von Safari auf Version 12 zu verzögern, bis Prinergy offiziell für Safari 12 qualifiziert wurde. Job-Suche

• In Job Finder schlägt in der erweiterten Suchfunktion für Jobs die Verwendung des Operators ist nicht zusammen mit einem numerischen Wert fehl. [PRINERGY-38941]
• Wenn Sie in Job Finder in der erweiterten Suchfunktion für Jobs die Auswahl alle treffen, enthalten die Suchergebnisse Jobs und Pre-Jobs, die den festgelegten Suchkriterien entsprechen. [PRINERGY-39664]

Integration in ColorFlow

Folgende Einschränkungen wurden beim Einsatz der ColorFlow-Software mit Prinergy festgestellt:

• Seiten, die in Prinergy unter Umgehung des Refinings zu einem Job hinzugefügt wurden, der für ColorFlow freigegeben wurde, weisen ein nicht definiertes Farbsetup auf. Dieses Verhalten ist zu erwarten. Für eine ColorFlow-Integration sollte Refining mit ColorConvert aktiviert sein.

• Wenn Sie versuchen, eine Datei mit einer anderen Schnappschuss-Nummer als der in der Refine-Prozessvorlage angegebenen auszugeben, erscheint eine Fehlermeldung.

ColorConvert

Die folgenden ColorConvert-Probleme wurden festgestellt:

• Bei der Farbanpassung bestimmter Dateien mit transparenten Objekten kann es zu erheblichen Veränderungen im Erscheinungsbild kommen. Das Problem tritt nur bei bestimmten Dateien auf und hängt von den verwendeten Transparenzübergangseffekten, der Objektfarbe und dem bei der Farbkonvertierung der Objekte verwendeten DeviceLink- oder ICC-Profil ab. Das Problem entsteht, weil die Farben für jedes Grafik- und Bildobjekt in der Transparenzgruppe separat konvertiert wurde. Beim Erstellen der Farbverläufe in dem Zielfarbraum ändert sich das Erscheinungsbild der Objekte.
  Empfehlung: Glätten Sie die PDF-Dateien. Wenn Ihre PDF-Dateien RGB-Daten enthalten, empfiehlt es sich, die Farbumwandlung dieser Daten vor dem Glätten vorzunehmen. Unter Partner Place-Antwort-ID 72326 finden Sie Best Practices und die Einrichtung eines zweistufigen Refine-Vorgangs.
  Hinweis: Das Problem lässt sich auch mit Halbtonproofs nicht vorhersehen, wenn die Farbanpassung an der Endausgabe erfolgt.

• ColorMatch Vector Overprint Handling bestimmter Dateien mit Transparenzgruppen und Überdruckbehandlung kann zu unerwarteten Ergebnissen führen. Die bei der ColorMatcher Vektor-Überdruckbehandlung neu generierten Objekte ruinieren das Erscheinungsbild. Halbtonproofs mit Raster-Überdruckbehandlung sind nicht geeignet, das Problem im Vorhinein zu erkennen, wenn die Vektor-Überdruckbehandlung an der Endausgabe erfolgt. Detaillierte Beschreibungen zu den Unterschieden in der Verarbeitung mit Raster- und Vektor-Überdruckbehandlung finden Sie in der Prinergy-Hilfe.
  Empfehlung: Glätten Sie die PDF-Dateien. Wenn Ihre PDF-Dateien RGB-Daten enthalten, empfiehlt es sich, die Farbumwandlung dieser Daten vor dem Glätten vorzunehmen. Unter Antwort-ID 72326 finden Sie Best Practices und die Einrichtung eines zweistufigen Refine-Vorgangs.

• Der RGB-Mischfarbraum wird nicht unterstützt. Mischfarbräume sollten nur als DeviceCMYK definiert werden.
  Empfehlung: Ändern Sie den Mischfarbraum in der Eingabedatei, oder richten Sie ein Preflight+-Profil ein, um den Zustand zu ermitteln und/oder zu beheben.

• ColorConvert wird in Vektorausgabe-Prozessvorlagen automatisch ausgewählt, wenn Sie auf Prinergy 8.3 aktualisieren. Dies geschieht aufgrund eines Migrationsskriptfehlers. Wenn Sie über eine einfache Lizenz verfügen, bei der ColorConvert nicht aktiviert ist, schlägt die Vektorausgabe fehl. Wenn Sie über eine Lizenz für Advanced Color Management verfügen, wird die Farbkonvertierung bei der Ausgabe angewendet, was zu falschen Ausgaben führen kann. [PRINERGY-42167]
  Problemlösung: Öffnen Sie eine beliebige Vektorausgabe-Prozessvorlage, in der ColorConvert nicht aktiviert ist, und deaktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen ColorConvert.

Preflight+-

• Beim Upgrade auf Prinergy 9.0 von 7.5.x, 8.0.x oder 8.1.x werden benutzerdefinierte Überprüfungen und Korrekturen nicht als eigene Einheiten migriert. Profile, die auf benutzerdefinierte Überprüfungen und Korrekturen verweisen, werden jedoch entsprechend aktualisiert, so dass sie die benutzerdefinierten Überprüfungen und Korrekturen enthalten; d. h. sie funktionieren auch weiterhin so wie vor dem Upgrade.

• callas-Prozesspläne und -Profile, die Ebenen erstellen oder nicht lizenzierte DeviceLinks enthalten, werden nicht unterstützt.

• Kodak bietet keine Unterstützung oder Lizenzen für die pdfToolbox von callas software an. Es wird jedoch eine Kopie von pdfToolbox (Preflight+ Profile Manager) bereitgestellt und lizenziert – ausschließlich zur Bearbeitung und Erstellung von Preflight-Profilen, die in Prinergy verwendet werden. Änderungen der Lizenz sowie Änderungen oder Aktualisierungen der mit Prinergy bereitgestellten Version von callas pdfToolbox werden von Kodak weder empfohlen noch unterstützt. Kodak bietet keine Hilfe oder Unterstützung für die Bearbeitung oder Erstellung neuer callas-Profile. Informationen und Unterstützung zum Erstellen und Bearbeiten von Profilen finden Sie unter https://www.callassoftware.com/goto/tbx_ENG_documentation.
  Hinweis: Kodak unterstützt Probleme im Zusammenhang mit der Integration von callas Preflight in Prinergy Workshop.

• Fehlerbehebungen von callas unterliegen der „Verwendung auf eigene Gefahr“. Gehen Sie besonders vorsichtig vor, und prüfen Sie Ihre Proofs genau bei der Anwendung von Fehlerbehebungen.

• callas-Profile und Prinergy unterstützen unterschiedliche Varianten des chinesischen Zeichensatzes.

• Auf callas-Vorlagen basierende Berichte per PDFToolBox sind nicht in Preflight+ in Prinergy verfügbar.

• Da jeder PDF-Bericht eine vollständige Kopie der ursprünglichen PDF-Eingabedatei enthält, führt die Verwendung von Preflight+ eventuell zu einem höheren Speicherbedarf auf den Stammdatenträgern Ihrer Jobs. 

• Damit Preflight+ sich im Refining-Prozess nicht zu einem Engpass entwickelt, wird empfohlen, dieselbe Anzahl von Preflight+ JTPs und Refine JTPs zu erwerben.
• Die Verwendung von Variablen, die Benutzer zur Eingabe auffordern, wird nicht unterstützt.
• Neue Bibliotheken für das Organisieren von Prüfungen und Anpassungen in Kategorien.
  Hinweis: Profile mit Devicelink, Javascript und Variablen werden nicht unterstützt.

Adobe PDF Print Engine

Der APPE (Adobe PDF Print Engine) RIP kann keine PDF-Dateien verarbeiten, die eingebettete PostScript-Objekte enthalten. Dazu gehören auch Seiten, die mit PostScript- oder OPI-Umgehungsfunktionen von Prinergy verarbeitet wurden.

Der APPE RIP ist der bevorzugte RIP für Prinergy.

APPE 4.7 bietet Unterstützung für maximal 123 Sonderfarben (zusätzlich zu den vier CMYK-Prozessfarben für insgesamt 127 Farben).

Beachten Sie folgende Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:

• Proofs und Platten: Bei der Plattenherstellung für Jobs mit dem APPE RIP ist besondere Aufmerksamkeit geboten, wenn für diese Platten der Proof mit dem vorherigen APPE RIP erstellt wurde. Da die RIPs unterschiedlich sind, besteht die Möglichkeit, dass Proof und Platte unterschiedlich interpretiert werden. Jobs sollten nach Möglichkeit mit der gleichen Version von Prinergy bearbeitet werden, mit der auch die Proofs erzeugt wurden.
  Hinweis: Um diese Situation zu vermeiden, sollten die Hub-and-Spoke-Konfigurationen beim Upgrade von Prinergy die Abstimmung übernehmen.

• Nachdrucke: Für Nachdrucke von Jobs, die zuvor mit einem älteren RIP gedruckt wurden, wird empfohlen, die Proofs mit dem neuen RIP erneut zu erzeugen, um sicherzustellen, dass keine unvorhergesehenen Abweichungen zwischen dem ursprünglichen Druck und dem Nachdruck entstehen.

PANTONE+-V3-Bibliotheken

In Übereinstimmung mit den PANTONE-Richtlinien zu Best Practices wurden alle bisherigen PANTONE-Bibliotheken als Werksbibliotheken entfernt und werden nicht mehr in Ihren Prozessvorlagen angezeigt. Bisherige Prinergy-PANTONE-Bibliotheken werden im Archivierungsformat bereitgestellt und können bei Bedarf als Benutzerbibliotheken für das erneute Drucken von älteren Aufträge verwendet werden. Maxtone CX-, Maxtone FX- und Maxtone SX-RIP

Kodak Maxtone CX-, Maxtone FX- und Maxtone SX-Raster sind nur für APPE-RIP verfügbar. Sie sind nicht zur Verwendung mit CPSI-RIP verfügbar.

Systemsonderfarbenbibliothek L*a*b* 2000

Wenn die Systemsonderfarbenbibliothek L*a*b* 2000 einer Refining-Prozessvorlage hinzugefügt wurde, wird sie gegebenenfalls nicht in der Liste mit den Sonderfarbenbibliotheken angezeigt. Sie steht aber für Refining-Prozesse zur Verfügung, die über die Refining-Prozessvorlage erstellt wurden. [PRINERGY-44022]

Das Refining zu PDF/x-1a schlägt fehl, wenn L*a*b*-Sonderfarbenbibliotheken geladen sind und Sie Sonderfarben NICHT konvertieren.

Ab Prinergy 8.0 wurden alle werkseitigen Sonderfarbenbibliotheken durch Pantone V3 L*a*b*-Bibliotheken ersetzt. Wenn Sie das Refining einer Datei durchführen, die eine Sonderfarbe enthält, die in der L*a*b*-Bibliothek definiert ist, wird der alternative Farbraum für Sonderfarben in L*a*b* geändert. Da L*a*b* in PDF/x-1a nicht zulässig ist, schlägt der Prozess fehl.

Um dieses Problem zu beheben, können Sie die PANTONE V3-Bibliothek entfernen oder eine CMYK-Bibliothek laden, z. B. eine ältere Benutzer- oder ColorBridge-Bibliothek (Antwort ID 73041). 
Hinweis: Wenn Ihre eingehende PDF-Datei Sonderfarben mit alternativem L*a*b*-Farbraum enthält, sollten Sie eine CMYK Pantone-Bibliothek laden; andernfalls schlägt der Refining-Vorgang ebenfalls fehl.

Beim Konvertieren von Sonderfarben in Prozessfarben wird empfohlen, die neue PANTONE V3-Bibliothek zu verwenden. Weitere Informationen finden Sie im Abschnitt „Info über PANTONE-Bibliotheken“ der Workflow-Hilfe. [PRINERGY-43630]

Bei Auswahl der Option zum Ersetzen variabler Marken in PDF-Dateien werden bei einigen Objekten fehlerhafte Überdrucke verursacht. 

Bei Verwendung dieser Einstellung müssen Sie die Anweisungen in Partner Place-Antwort-ID 69302 befolgen. Andernfalls kann es zu schwerwiegenden Ausgabeproblemen kommen.

Zusätzliche Registrierungs-JTPs, die so konfiguriert sind, dass sie auf einem sekundären Server laufen, werden nach dem Neustart fälschlicherweise auf dem primären Server angezeigt.

Betriebssysteme Windows Server 2016 und 2019

Die folgenden Einschränkungen wurden beim Ausführen von Prinergy mit den Betriebssystemen Windows Server 2016 und Windows Server 2019 festgestellt:

• Nicht alle älteren Kodak CTP-Geräte (Computer-To-Plate) verfügen über eine Versionssoftware, die mit Windows Server 2016 oder Windows Server 2019 kompatibel ist. Fragen Sie Ihre Kodak-Vertretung, ob Ihr CTP-Gerät eine kompatible Versionssoftware enthält.

Einschränkungen mit SMB 2 und SMB 3 auf Windows-Servern in gemischten Umgebungen

• Standardmäßig werden Prinergy-Server unter Windows Server 2016 oder Windows Server 2019 mit SMB 2- und SMB 3-Unterstützung ausgeliefert.
• Um die beste Leistung zu erzielen, sollte auf allen Prinergy-Servern und Nebenservern dieselbe Betriebssystemversion installiert sein. Wenn auf einem der Nebenserver nicht mindestens Windows Server 2012 R2 ausgeführt wird, müssen SMB 2 und 3 deaktiviert werden, damit SMB 1 verwendet wird. Falls diese Einstellung nicht vorgenommen wird, kann dies Probleme hinsichtlich Leistung und Dateizugriff/-übertragung verursachen. Wenn Sie Hilfe beim Deaktivieren von SMB 2 und SMB 3 benötigen, wenden Sie sich an einen Supportmitarbeiter vor Ort.

NFS-Konnektivität

Prinergy bietet keine Unterstützung für UNIX-NFS der Open Group (Open Group UNIX Network File System). Sie können über ein SMB/CIFS-Protokoll (z. B. SAMBA), das auf dem Server installiert ist, auf UNIX-Server zugreifen.

NexPress Job Ticket Editor kann unter Windows 10 nicht über Digital Submit gestartet werden

Wenn Digital Submit mit NexPress unter Windows 10 ausgeführt wird, schlägt der Start des Job Ticket Editor in Digital Submit fehl. [PRINERGY-41688]

Problemumgehungen: So starten Sie den NexPress Job Ticket Editor:

• Führen Sie Digital Submit und NexPress Job Ticket Editor auf einer Workstation mit einem anderen Betriebssystem aus.
• Starten Sie den NexPress Job Ticket Editor außerhalb von Digital Submit.

HP Job Ticket Editor kann nicht unter Windows 8 und Windows 10 installiert werden

Der HP Job Ticket Editor ist eine Software von HP, die in Prinergy Workflow für die Verbindung zu Digitaldruckmaschinen von HP verwendet wird. Die neueste Version der von HP zur Verfügung gestellten Software ist nicht mit den Betriebssystemen Windows 8 und Windows 10 kompatibel. HP wurde über dieses Problem in Kenntnis gesetzt und behandelt es in einem zukünftigen Produkt-Update. [PRINERGY-41575]

HP

• Bei Verwendung eines DFE von Hewlett Packard SmartStream, das mit mehreren Druckmaschinen verbunden ist, wird für jede Druckmaschine mit einer Verbindung zum SmartStream-DFE eine Verbindungslizenz von Prinergy Workflow benötigt. Wenn Sie nicht genügend Lizenzen für Verbindungen zu Prinergy Workflow besitzen, kann sich Prinergy nicht mit allen Druckmaschinen verbinden, die über das SmartStream-DFE verbunden sind. [PRINERGY-44364]
• Wenn Sie von einer verbundenen Druckmaschine und/oder einem verbundenen DFE Druckträger importieren oder Gerätefunktionen erneut laden (unter „Einrichten“ > Ausrüstung > Digitales Gerät), während das Gerät nicht verfügbar ist, werden die Einstellungen für die Druckträger und/oder das Gerät im Digital Job Ticket Editor nicht mehr angezeigt, wenn Sie einen Job senden. Wenn das Gerät wieder normal läuft, müssen Sie die Substrate erneut importieren und/oder die Gerätefunktionen erneut laden, damit sie im Digital Job Ticket Editor wieder angezeigt werden. [PRINERGY-44749]
• HP DFE mit mehreren angeschlossenen Druckmaschinen erkennt den Prinergy-Server nicht an seinem Namen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Prinergy-Servername auf dem DFE richtig aufgelöst wird. Fügen Sie bei einem DFE unter Windows den Prinergy-Hostnamen und die IP-Adresse in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host hinzu. [PRINERGY-45428]

Ricoh 

• Klebebindungsjobs mit Einbänden, die an Ricoh-Digitaleingabesysteme mit PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak Type S4 gesendet werden, werden unter Umständen mit falscher Ausrichtung ausgegeben. [PRINERGY-42077] 

• Aufgrund von Beschränkungen bei der JDF-Implementierung für Ricoh-Digitaleingabesysteme mit PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak Type S4 werden Layoutoptionen derzeit nicht unterstützt. [PRINERGY-39050] 

• Wenn eine Oberfläche an ein Ricoh-System gesendet wird, wird die im Job festgelegte Bindekante aufgrund einer Geometrieübersetzung um 90 Grad im Uhrzeigersinn gedreht, aber im Endergebnis erfolgt die Ausgabe an der Druckmaschine korrekt. Wenn Sie Fragen haben, bitten Sie Ihren Kodak-Vertreter um Hilfe. [PRINERGY-42029]

• Erfolgreich gedruckte Jobs werden in Device Track zur Warteschlange „On Hold“ (Im Wartestatus) verschoben statt zur Warteschlange „Completed“ (Abgeschlossen). Dies ist ein bekanntes Problem von Ricoh. [PRINERGY-45100]

Konica Minolta

Der Status der beschichteten oder unbeschichteten Materialien kann möglicherweise bei digitalen Verbindungen zur Eingabesystem-Software für digitale Drucker für Konica Minolta IC-602 oder C1070 nicht ordnungsgemäß in Prinergy Setup importiert oder dargestellt werden. Job-Einstellungen können in der Konica Minolta-Software manuell aktualisiert werden, um die Ausgabe erfolgreich abzuschließen. [PRINERGY-43211]

EFI

• Aufgrund einer Einschränkung bei der bidirektionalen Kommunikation mit der Software von EFI werden abgeschlossene Jobs nicht im Bereich Abgeschlossen in der Warteschlange von Device Track in Prinergy Workflow und bis zum Abschluss in keiner Warteschlange angezeigt. [PRINERGY-43780]
• Aufgrund eines EFI-Problems mit bidirektionaler Konnektivität zeigt Prinergy Device Track eine falsche Anzahl an Druckfarben an. [PRINERGY-46698]
• Aufgrund eines bekannten EFI-Prozesses mit herkömmlicher JDF-Konnektivität werden die Jobs nicht direkt gedruckt, sondern zunächst in die Warteschlange Im Wartestatus verschoben. [PRINERGY-46646]

Für Japan lokalisierte Prinergy Workshop-Version

Das Senden einer Datei an Prinergy Workshop in der für Japan lokalisierten Version über Drag-and-Drop in die Prozessvorlage kann zum unerwarteten Beenden von Workshop führen. [PRINERGY-43660] 

Einschränkungen bei der Prinergy-Standbogenauswahl

Die Prinergy-Standbogenauswahl funktioniert im Preps 5-Modus. Daher gibt es im Zusammenhang mit Preps 6 oder höher mehrere Einschränkungen.

Bearbeiten von Ausschießschemata

• Es ist nicht möglich, Jobs mit Bindungsarten wie „Kommen und Gehen“, „Schneiden und Stapeln“ sowie Mehrfachbindung mit der Standbogenauswahl zu bearbeiten. Beim Versuch, ein Ausschießschema zu bearbeiten, das eine dieser Jobarten verwendet, steht die Option Prinergy-Standbogenauswahl verwenden im Dialogfeld „Ausschießschema bearbeiten“ nicht zur Verfügung. Stattdessen haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Preps über Externe Ausschießanwendung verwenden zu starten.
• Wenn Sie ein „Kommen und Gehen“- oder „Schneiden und Stapeln“-Ausschießschema mit Standbogenauswahl erstellen und anschließend in Preps 6 oder höher bearbeiten, erscheint eine Warnmeldung mit dem Hinweis, dass der Auftrag in einer früheren Version von Preps erstellt wurde. Sie können diese Meldung ignorieren.

Importieren von Ausschießschemata

• Die Standbogenauswahl unterstützt nicht den Import von Preps 6-Aufträgen mit den Bindearten „Kommen und Gehen“ oder „Schneiden und Stapeln“. Wenn Sie beim Erstellen eines neuen Ausschießschemas die Option Vorhandenen Preps-Job verwenden wählen und einen Preps 6-Job mit der Bindungsart „Kommen und Gehen“ oder „Schneiden und Stapeln“ auswählen, wird eine Fehlermeldung ausgegeben. Sie können eine andere Job-Datei auswählen oder das Ausschießschema mit einer externen Ausschieß-Software erstellen.

Erstellen von Ausschießschemata

• Wenn Sie ein neues Ausschießschema erstellen, sind die Bindungsarten „Kommen und Gehen“ oder „Schneiden und Stapeln“ nur im Preps 5-Modus verfügbar.
• In Preps 5 und 6 werden „Kommen und Gehen“- und „Schneiden und Stapeln“-Jobs unterschiedlich angezeigt. In Preps 6 werden „Schneiden und Stapeln“-Jobs in mehreren Bahnen und „Kommen und Gehen“-Jobs in mehreren Sektionen angezeigt. In Prinergy Workshop werden solche Jobs im Preps 6-Format angezeigt, während sie in der Standbogenauswahl im Preps 5-Format erscheinen. Dies ist nur ein Anzeigeunterschied. Die Seitenzuordnung ist richtig, und das Ausschießschema wird korrekt gedruckt.

Automatische Anwahl in der Prinergy-Standbogenauswahl

Die AutoSelect-Funktion in der Prinergy-Standbogenauswahl führt zu anderen Ergebnissen als die automatische Auswahl in Preps. Überprüfen Sie, ob AutoSelect-Vorgänge die erwarteten Ergebnisse bringen.

Falls erforderlich, können Sie die Reihenfolge der Standbogenauswahl mit Nach oben verschieben bzw. Nach unten verschieben oder Hinzufügen bzw. Löschen verwenden, um die gewünschte Standbogenauswahl zu treffen.
Um das Problem zu vermeiden, ergänzen Sie in den Dateien PrepsPrinergy.cfg und PrepsPrinergy.cfg.template die Zeile:
AUTOSELECT_MINIMUM_PAGES:1.

Das erneute Bearbeiten des Ausschießschemas eines importierten Jobs funktioniert ggf. nicht immer.

Die erneute Bearbeitung eines Preps-Ausschießschemas aus Workshop funktioniert möglicherweise nicht für bestimmte importierte Jobs. Wenn der importierte Job einen Ausschießschema-Namen mit mehr als 25 Zeichen enthält und über ein Ausschießschema verfügt, das zuvor bearbeitet wurde und die ältere Version gelöscht wurde. Um dieses Problem beim Bearbeiten vorhandener Ausschießschemata zu vermeiden, wählen Sie immer die Importoption „Vorhandenes Ausschießschema beibehalten“. [PRINERGY-50121]

RBA

Die regelbasierte Automatisierung (RBA) kann nach dem Upgrade auf Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 oder höher nicht gestartet werden. Informationen zur Behebung dieses Problems finden Sie in der Partner Place-Antwort 73601.

Das Erstellen von Jobs schlägt nach dem Downgrade auf Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 von Prinergy Workflow 9.0 fehl.

Wenn ein Downgrade auf Prinergy 8.1.2 nach dem Upgrade auf 9.0.0 erforderlich ist, können Fehler beim Erstellen von Jobs im heruntergestuften 8.1.2-Server auftreten.

Wenn dieses Problem auftritt, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Kodak-Kundendienstmitarbeiter, um das Problem mit Ihrem Prinergy-System zu beheben. [PRINERGY-46987]

Das Setup schlägt nach einem Downgrade von Prinergy Workflow 9.0.0 auf Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 fehl.

Nach dem Downgrade von Prinergy 8.4.0 auf Prinergy 8.1.2 muss Setup neu installiert werden, damit es ordnungsgemäß funktioniert. [PRINERGY-48872]

McAfee 10.5.3/10.6 unter Windows 2016 mit Windows Defender

McAfee 10.5.3/10.6 kann unter Windows 2016 nicht installiert und ausgeführt werden, wenn Windows Defender installiert ist. Dies ist eine Einschränkung der McAfee-Antivirussoftware, bei der Windows Defender auf Systemen deinstalliert werden muss, auf denen McAfee installiert werden soll. [PRINERGY-48947]

Das Hinzufügen eines Ausgabegeräts in Prinergy Administrator funktioniert möglicherweise nicht.

Wenn Sie nach dem Neustart des Servers, auf dem Prinergy ausgeführt wird, zum ersten Mal versuchen, ein Ausgabegerät in Prinergy Administrator hinzuzufügen, stürzt Prinergy Administrator möglicherweise ab. Sie können das Gerät nach dem Neustart der Prinergy Administrator-Schnittstelle erfolgreich hinzufügen. [PRINERGY-48874]

Unterstützung von Acrobat 2017 und 2020 

Acrobat 2017 und 2020 sind einmalig zu erwerbende Versions-Updates für Acrobat DC (ähnlich wie die ursprüngliche Version von Acrobat 2015). Das Prinergy Workshop-Installationsprogramm erkennt den Ordnerspeicherort für Acrobat 2017 oder 2020 nicht. Wenn Sie die Version von Acrobat DC verwenden, die als Acrobat 2017 oder 2020 verkauft und gekennzeichnet ist, müssen Sie die Acrobat DC-Plug-Ins in Acrobat 2017 oder 2020 manuell installieren.

Export des Jobs

Exportierte Jobs aus Prinergy 9.x, die Preflight+-XML-Berichte enthalten, können nicht in Prinergy 7.x importiert werden.

Seiten-Aliase

Beim Kopieren von Jobs auf demselben Server oder zwischen Servern behält der Kopierauftrag nicht den Seiten-Alias bei, der der Seitenfolge zugewiesen ist.[PRINERGY-49619]

Digital Job Ticket Editor

• In Windows, quando si utilizza Digital Job Ticket Editor in Workshop per modificare il ticket di un processo, questo si comporta come una finestra modale, dovrebbe cioè impedire le interazioni con altri elementi dell'interfaccia utente del client Workshop finché l'interazione con Digital Job Ticket Editor non è completata. Il comportamento attuale su Windows non è modale ed erroneamente consente la modifica di altri elementi nel client Workshop mentre Digital Job Ticket Editor è aperto. Pertanto, si consiglia di non effettuare operazioni in Workshop finché si utilizza Digital Job Ticket Editor (facendo clic su Invia o Annulla). [PRINERGY-40231]

• Quando si utilizza Digital Job Ticket Editor in Workshop (comando Invia a Digital) o quando si apre Device Track dal menu Strumenti di Workshop, viene utilizzata l'unità di misura definita nelle Preferenze di Workshop, mentre l'unità di peso e l'unità di spessore (calibro) vengono ricavate dalle preferenze di Setup.
  Quando Device Track è aperto sul Web (non in Workshop), tutte le impostazioni delle unità in Digital Job Ticket Editor vengono ricavate dalle preferenze di Setup. [PRINERGY-42049]

• Le impostazioni disponibili in RBA non sono obbligatoriamente pertinenti a tutti i dispositivi digitali. Se si imposta un parametro non pertinente per il dispositivo selezionato, tale impostazione verrà ignorata durante l'esecuzione della procedura.
• Digital Job Ticket Editor è in grado di visualizzare solo i substrati dell'elenco a discesa Substrato che hanno le dimensioni assegnate. Se un utente crea un substrato sul dispositivo digitale senza una dimensione definita, non potrà inviarlo a Prinergy né visualizzarlo in Job Ticket Editor di Prinergy. [PRINERGY-46624]
• Il menu a discesa Substrato di Digital Job Ticket Editor non può visualizzare due substrati che hanno lo stesso nome. Se un utente definisce due substrati con lo stesso nome e le stesse dimensioni, solo un substrato verrà visualizzato in Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-46624]

• Le virgole non sono supportate come separatori decimali in Job Ticket Editor. Per modificare il formato dei numeri, aprire il pannello di controllo Area geografica e premere il pulsante Impostazioni aggiuntive. Quando viene visualizzata la finestra Personalizza formato, selezionare la scheda Numeri e assicurarsi che il simbolo Decimale sia impostato sul punto (.).

  

Device Track

• Affinché Device Track funzioni correttamente in Internet Explorer 11, l'impostazione Visualizza siti Intranet in Visualizzazione Compatibilità deve essere disattivata. Questa impostazione è attivata di default.
  Per modificare l'impostazione Vista compatibilità, in Internet Explorer, dal menu Strumenti, selezionare Impostazioni vista compatibilità e, nella finestra di dialogo Impostazioni vista compatibilità, deselezionare la casella di controllo Visualizza siti intranet nella Vista compatibilità, quindi fare clic su Chiudi per applicare la modifica. [PRINERGY-41259]
• In Internet Explorer 11, quando si utilizza il pulsante Aggiorna nel browser per aggiornare Device Track, talvolta i dati visualizzati sono quelli salvati nella cache e non i dati del server.

• Quando si utilizza Internet Explorer con Device Track, è richiesta la versione 11 o successiva. [PRINERGY-41757]

• Il ridimensionamento delle colonne in Device Track potrebbe causare un errore di visualizzazione. [PRINERGY-41180]

• Un eventuale problema di segnalazione dello stato da Kodak Xpo può determinare la formazione di code In corso nell'interfaccia utente Device Track di Prinergy; inoltre Xpo potrebbe perdere la sincronizzazione e visualizzare le separazioni dell'output nell'ordine errato in Device Track. [PRINERGY-47843]

• Dopo il completamento dell'output in EFI o nei sistemi Digital Front-End di Canon, i processi di output completati risultano assenti da tutte le code in Device Track. [PRINERGY-47923] [PRINERGY-43780]

• In alcune versioni meno recenti del software EFI Fiery, il numero di inchiostri indicati è limitato a cinque. Ciò potrebbe determinare nei processi con più di cinque colori un'errata limitazione a soli cinque colori nella relativa segnalazione inviata all'interfaccia utente Device Track di Prinergy. [PRINERGY-46698]

• Quando si invia nuovamente una separazione tramite Monitoraggio dispositivi, tale separazione riceve un nuovo ID processo dal software di controllo dei dispositivi (Xpo o Print Console). Questo accade perché la separazione viene trattata come una nuova istanza di output anziché come ripetizione di un precedente output.

Connessione CTP di tipo TIFF diretto

• Quando si invia per la seconda volta un processo a Print Console, due istanze dello stesso processo vengono visualizzate nella coda di Print Console. Il processo originale includerà una nota per indicare che è stato rimosso da un client Prinergy Workflow, ma resterà nell'elenco. La seconda istanza è il processo inviato nuovamente.[PRINERGY-46206]
• Quando si aggiunge una nuova configurazione di un supporto, ad esempio nuove dimensioni della lastra, a un dispositivo di output CTP, si verifica un ritardo di circa un minuto tra l'aggiunta e la visualizzazione del nuovo supporto nell'interfaccia utente di Prinergy Workflow mediante la nuova connessione di tipo TIFF diretto. [PRINERGY-46439]
• Quando si aggiungono o si rimuovono le impostazioni di punzonatura su un dispositivo CTP, la modifica dello stato non viene comunicata a Prinergy Workflow. Se si aggiunge o si rimuove una punzonatrice da un dispositivo CTP, è necessario disconnettere il dispositivo da Prinergy Administrator (UADM) e riconnetterlo per aggiornare lo stato della punzonatrice. [PRINERGY-46404]
• La casella di controllo Taglia supporti nella sezione Dispositivo del modello di processo di output finale non è supportata da Xpo e da Print Console e non deve essere selezionata.[PRINERGY-46874]
• L'elenco Impostazione punzonatura contiene tutte le impostazioni di punzonatura disponibili per il dispositivo selezionato. Quando si seleziona un'impostazione di punzonatura, verificare di aver selezionato una punzonatura compatibile con il supporto scelto.
• L'imaging VMR (Variable Mainscan Resolution, Risoluzione mscan variabile) non è supportato con Xpo. [PRINERGY-47187]
• L'imaging VMR (Variable Mainscan Resolution, Risoluzione mscan variabile) non è supportato con Print Console. [PRINERGY-47338]

• Quando si utilizza un segno di linea linoptica con le relative impostazioni di posizionamento aggiornate nel modello di processo con connessione diretta (GDAPI) e di tipo TIFF diretto ai dispositivi CTP, il segno di linea linoptica può essere visualizzato in una posizione errata sulla lastra. [PRINERGY-46463] 

Connessione CTP

• Quando si utilizza un segno di linea linoptica con le relative impostazioni di posizionamento aggiornate nel modello di processo con connessione diretta (GDAPI) e di tipo TIFF diretto ai dispositivi CTP, il segno di linea linoptica può essere visualizzato in una posizione errata sulla lastra. [PRINERGY-46463] 

• Quando si aggiungono o si rimuovono le impostazioni di punzonatura su un dispositivo CTP, la modifica dello stato non viene comunicata a Prinergy Workflow. Se si aggiunge o si rimuove la punzonatura da un dispositivo CTP, è necessario riavviare JTP e definire un nuovo modello per il processo. [PRINERGY-46404]

Configurazione

• A causa delle limitazioni nell'implementazione JDF di terze parti, è possibile che alcune impostazioni non siano disponibili nell'applicazione Configurazione di Prinergy Workflow in caso di aggiornamento nel software front-end. Ciò può includere le opzioni di bordo di rilegatura, densità massima, layout e formato foglio. [PRINERGY-39050] [PRINERGY-39982] [PRINERGY-40039] [PRINERGY-40045] [PRINERGY-41511] [PRINERGY-41632] [PRINERGY-41732] [PRINERGY-41745] [PRINERGY-41836] [PRINERGY-41906]

• Possono verificarsi dei problemi durante l'installazione di Setup tramite Microsoft Edge e Google Chrome.

  In caso di problemi durante l’installazione tramite Chrome, utilizzare un browser diverso. [PRINERGY-41032]
• Non è possibile installare la Configurazione tramite Firefox su Mac OS X 10.12 poiché Firefox su Mac OS X 10.12 non supporta Microsoft Silverlight. Utilizzare un browser diverso per installare e avviare Setup. [PRINERGY-44565]
• Se si tenta di importare i substrati e/o di ricaricare le funzionalità del dispositivo (in Configurazione > Apparecchiatura > Dispositivo digitale) da una macchina da stampa collegata o un front-end digitale quando il dispositivo è inattivo, i substrati e/o le impostazioni del dispositivo non saranno più visibili in Digital Job Ticket Editor durante l'invio di un processo. Una volta che il dispositivo è attivo e in esecuzione, importare nuovamente i substrati e/o ricaricare le funzionalità del dispositivo in modo da visualizzarli nuovamente nel Digital Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-45261] 
• Setup non è localizzato in lingua cinese e giapponese in macOS Sierra (versione 10.12) e macOS High Sierra (versione 10.13) a causa di font mancanti. [PRINERGY-46365] 
  Per risolvere questo problema, è possibile installare i font mancanti:
  1. MS Gothic.ttf -> per il giapponese
  2. 华文黑体.ttf -> per il cinese
• Impossibile installare la Configurazione sulle workstation macOS con Safari 12 installato. Se si utilizza Setup per definire elementi come le impostazioni per le macchine da stampa digitali sul server Prinergy, si consiglia di ritardare l'aggiornamento di Safari alla versione 12 fino a quando Prinergy non otterrà la certificazione ufficiale per Safari 12.[PRINERGY-49332]

Ricerca di un processo

• In Job Finder, nella funzione di ricerca avanzata dei processi, la ricerca fallisce se si utilizza l'operatore is not con un valore numerico. [PRINERGY-38941]
• In Job Finder, nella funzione di ricerca avanzata dei processi, selezionando Qualsiasi, i risultati della ricerca contengono sia i processi sia i processi preliminari che corrispondono ai criteri di ricerca definiti. [PRINERGY-39664]

Integrazione con ColorFlow

Per l'utilizzo del software ColorFlow con Prinergy, sono state identificate le seguenti limitazioni:

• Le pagine aggiunte a un processo abilitato per ColorFlow tramite l'opzione Miglioramento del bypass di Prinergy presenteranno una configurazione dei colori non definita. Ciò è normale. Con l'integrazione di ColorFlow, è consigliata la ridefinizione con l'opzione ColorConvert abilitata.

• Se si tenta di effettuare l'output di un file con un numero di istantanea diverso da quello definito nel modello del processo di rifinitura, viene visualizzato un messaggio di errore.

ColorConvert

Sono stati identificati i seguenti problemi con l'opzione ColorConvert:

• La corrispondenza dei colori di determinati file con oggetti trasparenti può comportare cambiamenti significativi nell'aspetto. Il problema è specifico del file e dipende dalle modalità di miscelazione delle trasparenze applicate, dal colore dell'oggetto e dal profilo DeviceLink o ICC utilizzato per la conversione dei colori dell'oggetto. Il problema si verifica perché a ciascun oggetto immagine e grafico utilizzato nel gruppo trasparenza viene applicata separatamente la conversione dei colori. La miscelazione degli oggetti nello spazio colore di destinazione provoca una modifica dell'aspetto.
  Consiglio: eseguire il flattening dei file PDF. Se i file PDF contengono dati RGB, si consiglia di applicare la conversione dei colori a questi dati prima di eseguire il flattening. Fare riferimento all'ID risposta Partner Place 72326 per conoscere le procedure ottimali e la configurazione di una rifinitura in due fasi.
  Nota: quando viene eseguito l'abbinamento dei colori nell'output finale, non è possibile utilizzare la stampa di prove in tono continuo per prevedere questo problema.

• La gestione della sovrastampa vettoriale di corrispondenza colori di determinati file con gruppi trasparenza che utilizzano a loro volta la gestione della sovrastampa può generare risultati imprevisti. I nuovi oggetti generati tramite il processo di gestione della sovrastampa vettoriale di ColorMatcher finiscono con il rovinarne l'aspetto. Quando viene utilizzata la gestione della sovrastampa vettoriale nell'output finale, non è possibile utilizzare la stampa di prove in tono continuo con gestione della sovrastampa a retino per prevedere questo problema. Per descrizioni dettagliate sulle differenze di elaborazione tra gestione della sovrastampa a retino e vettoriale, consultare la guida di Prinergy.
  Consiglio: eseguire il flattening dei file PDF. Se i file PDF contengono dati RGB, si consiglia di applicare la conversione dei colori a questi dati prima di eseguire il flattening. Fare riferimento all'ID risposta 72326 per conoscere le procedure ottimali e la configurazione di una rifinitura in due fasi.

• Lo spazio colori con miscelazione delle trasparenze RGB non è supportato. Gli spazi di miscelazione devono essere definiti esclusivamente come DeviceCMYK.
  Consiglio: modificare lo spazio di miscelazione nel file di input o configurare un profilo Preflight+ per rilevare e/o correggere la condizione.

• ColorConvert viene automaticamente selezionato nei modelli dei processi di output vettoriale dopo l'aggiornamento a Prinergy 8.3. Ciò è dovuto a un bug nello script di migrazione. Se si dispone di una licenza di base che non consente l'uso di ColorConvert, l'output vettoriale avrà esito negativo. Se si dispone di una licenza per la gestione avanzata del colore, la conversione dei colori verrà applicata in uscita e può causare un output errato. [PRINERGY-42167]
  Soluzione: aprire un modello di processo di output vettoriale che non abbia ColorConvert attivato e deselezionare la casella di controllo ColorConvert.

Preflight+

• Quando si esegue l'aggiornamento a Prinergy 9.0 dalla versione 7.5.x, 8.0.x o 8.1.x, controlli e correzioni personalizzati non verranno migrati come entità proprie. Tuttavia, i profili che fanno riferimento a Controlli e correzioni personalizzati sono stati aggiornati per incorporare controlli e correzioni personalizzati e continueranno a funzionare come prima dell'aggiornamento.

• I profili e i piani di processo callas che creano livelli o contengono DeviceLinks senza licenza non sono supportati.

• Kodak non supporta né fornisce licenze del software callas pdfToolbox. Tuttavia, una copia di pdfToolbox (gestione profili di Preflight+) viene fornita e concessa in licenza esclusivamente a scopi di modifica e creazione di profili preflight da utilizzare in Prinergy. La modifica della licenza, nonché la modifica o l'aggiornamento della versione di callas pdfToolbox fornita con Prinergy rappresentano operazioni non consigliate e non supportate da Kodak. Kodak non fornisce assistenza o supporto per la modifica o la creazione di nuovi profili callas.   Nota: Kodak non fornisce supporto per i problemi correlati all'integrazione di callas Preflight in Prinergy Workshop.

• I rapporti generali contengono informazioni provenienti da tutte le pagine in un unico file di input PDF con più pagine. Quando si apre il rapporto, questo può contenere informazioni sulle pagine che non sono state selezionate.
• I collegamenti nella pagina del rapporto sono supportati solo se si copia l'intero rapporto.

• Le correzioni callas vengono "utilizzate a proprio rischio". Prestare la massima attenzione e controllare attentamente le prove quando si applicano le correzioni.

• I profili callas e Prinergy supportano diverse variazioni del set di caratteri cinese.

  • Semplificato = ZH_CN (callas) = PRC

  • Semplificato = ZH_Hans (Prinergy) = Sud-est asiatico e Singapore

• I report callas basati su modello tramite PDFToolBox non sono disponibili in Preflight+ in Prinergy.

• Poiché ogni report PDF contiene una copia completa del file PDF di input originale, l'utilizzo di Preflight+ può comportare maggiori richieste di spazio di archiviazione nei dischi originali del processo. 

• Per evitare che Preflight+ divenga un collo di bottiglia nel processo di rifinitura, si consiglia di acquistare la stessa quantità di Preflight+ JTP di Refine JTP.
• L'utilizzo di variabili che forniscono suggerimenti agli utenti per l'input non è supportato.
• Nuove librerie per l'organizzazione dei controlli e delle correzioni in categorie.
  Nota: i profili con DeviceLink, Javascript e le variabili non sono supportati.

Adobe PDF Print Engine (Motore di stampa Adobe PDF)

Il RIP APPE (Adobe PDF Print Engine) non è in grado di elaborare file PDF contenenti oggetti PostScript integrati, incluse pagine elaborate con PostScript Bypass o con le funzionalità di bypass OPI di Prinergy.

Il RIP APPE rappresenta l'opzione RIP preferita per Prinergy.

A partire da APPE 4.7 è supportato un massimo di 123 tinte piatte (oltre alla quadricromia CMYK, per un totale di 127 colori).

Osservare le seguenti precauzioni:

• Prove di stampa e lastre: Nella placcatura dei processi con il RIP APPE, prestare particolare attenzione alle lastre le cui prove sono state effettuate con il RIP APPE precedente. Poiché i RIP sono diversi, è possibile che la prova di stampa e la lastra siano interpretate in maniera differente. Idealmente, la placcatura dei processi andrebbe effettuata con la stessa versione di Prinergy utilizzata per generare le prove di stampa.
  Nota: per evitare questa situazione, è necessario coordinare le configurazioni hub e spoke al momento dell'aggiornamento di Prinergy.

• Ristampe: per le ristampe dei processi stampati precedentemente utilizzando un RIP meno recente, si consiglia di eseguire nuovamente le prove di stampa utilizzando il nuovo RIP per assicurarsi che non vi siano differenze inattese tra il ciclo di stampa originale e la ristampa.

Librerie PANTONE+ V3

Attenendosi alle linee guida per la prassi migliore di PANTONE, tutte le precedenti librerie PANTONE sono state rimosse come librerie predefinite e non saranno più visualizzate nei modelli di processo. Le precedenti librerie PANTONE sono fornite in formato di archiviazione e possono essere importate come librerie utente, se desiderato, per lavori di ristampa esistenti. Per informazioni più dettagliate, vedere Informazioni sulle librerie PANTONE.

RIP di Maxtone CX, Maxtone FX e Maxtone SX

I retini di Kodak Maxtone CX, Maxtone FX e Maxtone SX sono disponibili solo per RIP APPE. Non possono essere utilizzati con RIP CPSI.

Sistema libreria tinte piatte L*a*b* 2000

Quando il sistema libreria tinte piatte L*a*b* 2000 è aggiunto a un modello del processo di rifinitura, può non apparire nella lista delle librerie delle tinte piatte ma sarà disponibile per l'utilizzo nei processi di rifinitura creati dal modello del processo di rifinitura. [PRINERGY-44022]

La rifinitura in PDF/x-1a fallisce quando le librerie di tinte piatte Lab sono caricate e NON viene eseguita la conversione delle tinte piatte

A partire da Prinergy 8.0, tutte le librerie di tinte piatte predefinite sono state sostituite con le librerie Lab Pantone V3. Se si esegue la rifinitura di un file contenente una tinta piatta che è definita nella libreria Lab, lo spazio colore alternativo della tinta piatta viene convertito nello spazio colore Lab. Poiché lo spazio colore Lab non è consentito in PDF/x-1a, il processo fallisce.

Per risolvere questo problema, è possibile rimuovere la libreria PANTONE V3 oppure caricare una libreria CMYK, ad esempio una libreria definita dall'utente o una libreria ColorBridge (ID risposta 73041). 
Nota: se il PDF in arrivo include tinte piatte con lo spazio colore alternativo LAB, è necessario caricare una libreria Pantone CMYK, altrimenti anche la rifinitura fallirà.

Per la conversione dalle tinte piatte alla quadricromia è preferibile utilizzare la nuova libreria PANTONE V3. Per ulteriori informazioni, vedere Informazioni sulle librerie Pantone nella Guida del flusso di lavoro. [PRINERGY-43630]

Selezionando "Sostituisci segni di variabile nei file di contenuti PDF" vengono generate sovrastampe errate su alcuni oggetti 

Quando si utilizza questa impostazione, è necessario seguire la procedura riportata nell'ID risposta Partner Place 69302. Non farlo potrebbe causare seri problemi di output.

I Register JTP aggiuntivi configurati per l'esecuzione in un server secondario non vengono ospitati correttamente sul server primario dopo il riavvio

Sistemi operativi Windows Server 2016 e 2019

Sono state individuate le seguenti limitazioni che riguardano l'esecuzione di Prinergy su sistemi operativi Windows Server 2016 e 2019:

• Non tutti i dispositivi CTP (Computer-to-Plate) Kodak esistenti dispongono di una versione software controllata che sia compatibile con Windows Server 2016 e Windows Server 2019. Contattare il rappresentante Kodak per verificare che il proprio dispositivo CTP disponga di una versione compatibile.

Limitazioni con i protocolli SMB 2 e SMB 3 su Windows Server in ambienti misti

• Per impostazione predefinita, i server Prinergy che eseguono Windows Server 2016 e Windows Server 2019 vengono consegnati all'utente con i protocolli SMB 2 e 3 attivati.
• Per ottenere il massimo dalle prestazioni, su tutti i server Prinergy e sui server terziari dovrebbe essere installata la stessa versione del sistema operativo. Se uno dei server terziari non esegue almeno Windows Server 2012 R2, è necessario disattivare i protocolli SMB 2 e 3 in modo da poter utilizzare il protocollo SMB 1. Se non lo si fa, potrebbero verificarsi problemi di prestazioni e di accesso/trasferimento di file. Per istruzioni su come disattivare i protocolli SMB 2 e 3, contattare il rappresentante dell'assistenza locale.

Connettività NFS (Network File System)

Prinergy non supporta la connettività NFS UNIX di The Open Group (Network File System UNIX Open Group) È possibile accedere ai server UNIX tramite un protocollo SMB/CIFS installato sul server (ad esempio, SAMBA).

NexPress Job Ticket Editor non può essere avviato da Digital Submit su Windows 10

Quando si esegue Digital Submit con NexPress su Windows 10, Job Ticket Editor in Digital Submit non viene avviato. [PRINERGY-41688]

Soluzioni: Per avviare NexPress Job Ticket Editor:

• Eseguire Digital Submit e NexPress Job Ticket Editor su una stazione di lavoro con un altro sistema operativo
• Avviare manualmente NexPress Job Ticket Editor fuori da Digital Submit.

Impossibile installare HP Job Ticket Editor su Windows 8 e Windows 10

HP Job Ticket Editor è un software HP utilizzato in Prinergy Workflow per la connessione alle stampanti digitali HP. La versione più recente del software disponibile presso HP non è compatibile con i sistemi operativi Windows 8 e Windows 10. HP è consapevole del problema e lo risolverà in un futuro aggiornamento del prodotto. [PRINERGY-41575]

HP

• Utilizzando un Hewlett Packard SmartStream DFE collegato a più stampanti, ciascuna stampante collegata allo SmartStream DFE utilizza una licenza di connessione da Prinergy Workflow. Qualora venisse collegato a SmartStream DFE un numero di stampanti superiore a quello delle licenze di connessione in Prinergy Workflow, Prinergy non sarà in grado di collegarsi a tutte le stampanti collegate a SmartStream DFE. [PRINERGY-44364]
• Se si tenta di importare i substrati e/o di ricaricare le funzionalità del dispositivo (in Configurazione > Apparecchiatura > Dispositivo digitale) da una macchina da stampa collegata o un front-end digitale quando il dispositivo è inattivo, i substrati e/o le impostazioni del dispositivo non saranno più visibili in Digital Job Ticket Editor durante l'invio di un processo. Una volta che il dispositivo è attivo e in esecuzione, importare nuovamente i substrati e/o ricaricare le funzionalità del dispositivo in modo da visualizzarli nuovamente nel Digital Job Ticket Editor. [PRINERGY-44749]
• Un front-end digitale HP con più macchine da stampa connesse non riconosce il server Prinergy dal nome. Assicurarsi che il nome del server Prinergy sia definito correttamente sul front-end digitale. Per un front-end digitale eseguito in Windows, aggiungere il nome host e l'indirizzo IP di Prinergy in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host [PRINERGY-45428]

Ricoh 

• I processi rilegati in brossura con copertine inviate al front-end digitale Ricoh con PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak type S4 possono produrre un output con orientamento errato. [PRINERGY-42077] 

• A causa di limitazioni nell'implementazione JDF per il front-end digitale Ricoh con PDF RIP Enhanced by Kodak type S4, le opzioni di layout non sono attualmente supportate. [PRINERGY-39050] 

• Quando viene inviata una superficie a Ricoh, il bordo di rilegatura definito nel processo ruoterà di 90 gradi in senso orario a causa della traslazione geometrica, tuttavia il risultato finale dell'output della stampante risulterà corretto. In caso di domande, contattare il proprio rappresentante Kodak per assistenza. [PRINERGY-42029]

• I lavori stampati correttamente vengono spostati nella coda On Hold (In sospeso) e non in quella Completed (Completati) di Device Track. Si tratta di un noto errore di Ricoh. [PRINERGY-45100]

Konica Minolta

Lo stato di carta patinata o non patinata non può essere importato o riflesso in modo corretto in Configurazione Prinergy per le connessioni digitali al software per front-end digitale per stampanti Konica Minolta IC-602 o C1070. Le impostazioni del processo devono essere aggiornate manualmente nel software Konica Minolta per completare con successo l'output. [PRINERGY-43211]

EFI

• Per una limitazione nella comunicazione bidirezionale con il software EFI, i processi completati non vengono visualizzati nella coda Completati di Device Track di Prinergy Workflow e non sono presenti in nessuna coda dopo il completamento. [PRINERGY-43780]
• A causa di un problema in EFI relativo alla connessione bidirezionale, Prinergy Device Track visualizza un numero di inchiostri errato. [PRINERGY-46698]
• A causa di un noto processo EFI con connessione JDF esistente, i processi non vengono stampati direttamente, ma è necessario prima accedere alla coda In sospeso. [PRINERGY-46646]

Prinergy Workshop localizzato in giapponese

Inviando un file in Prinergy Workshop localizzato in giapponese tramite trascinamento in un modello del processo può provocare l'interruzione inattesa di Workshop. [PRINERGY-43660] 

Limitazioni di Prinergy Signature Select

Prinergy Signature Selection funziona in modalità Preps 5. Esistono pertanto alcune limitazioni legate al funzionamento con Preps 6 o versioni successive.

Modifica di imposizioni

• Signature Selection non consente di modificare processi Come and go, Taglia e fascicola o Rilegatura multipla. Se si tenta di modificare un'imposizione che utilizza uno di questi stili, l'opzione Usa Prinergy Signature Selection non è disponibile nella finestra di dialogo Modifica imposizione. È possibile invece selezionare l'opzione Usa applicazione di imposizione esterna per avviare Preps.
• Se si crea un'imposizione Come 'n Go o Taglia e fascicola utilizzando Signature Selection e poi la si modifica utilizzando Preps 6 o versioni successive, viene visualizzato un avvertimento a indicare che il processo è stato prodotto in una versione precedente di Preps. È possibile ignorare il messaggio.

Importazione di imposizioni

• Signature Selection non supporta l'importazione di processi Preps 6 con stili di rilegatura Come and go o Taglia e fascicola. Quando si crea una nuova imposizione, se si seleziona Usa processo Preps esistente e si seleziona un processo Preps 6 con uno stile di rilegatura Come 'n Go o Taglia e fascicola, viene visualizzato un messaggio di errore. È possibile selezionare un altro file di processo oppure utilizzare un software di imposizione esterno per creare l'imposizione.

Creazione delle imposizioni in corso

• Quando si crea una nuova imposizione, gli stili di rilegatura Come and go o Taglia e fascicola sono disponibili solo in modalità Preps 5.
• Le versioni Preps 5 e 6 differiscono nella modalità di visualizzazione dei processi Taglia e fascicola e Come and go. In Preps 6, i processi Taglia e fascicola sono visualizzati come bobine multiple, mentre i processi Come and go sono visualizzati come sezioni multiple. In Prinergy Workshop, tali processi sono visualizzati nel formato di Preps 6, mentre in Signature Selection sono visualizzati nel formato di Preps 5. Si tratta esclusivamente di una differenza di visualizzazione: l'assegnazione della pagina è corretta e l'imposizione viene stampata correttamente.

Selezione automatica in Prinergy Signature Selection

L'uso dell'opzione Selezione automatica in Prinergy Signature Selection può produrre risultati diversi rispetto all'uso della stessa opzione in Preps. Verificare che l'opzione Selezione automatica produca i risultati attesi.

Se necessario, utilizzare Sposta su o Sposta giù per modificare l'ordine delle segnature, oppure utilizzare Aggiungi o Elimina per ottenere la segnatura corretta.
Per prevenire il problema, modificare i file PrepsPrinergy.cfg e PrepsPrinergy.cfg.template affinché comprendano la linea:
AUTOSELECT_MINIMUM_PAGES:1.

Una nuova modifica dell'imposizione del processo importato potrebbe non funzionare in alcuni casi

Una nuova modifica di un'imposizione Preps da Workshop potrebbe non funzionare per alcuni processi importati. Se il processo importato contiene un nome di imposizione, questo supererà i 25 caratteri, ha un'imposizione precedentemente modificata e la versione precedente è stata eliminata. Per evitare questo problema quando si modificano le imposizioni esistenti, scegliere sempre l'opzione di importazione "Mantieni imposizione esistente". [PRINERGY-50121]

RBA

RBA (Rules Based Automation, Automazione basata su regole) potrebbe non avviarsi dopo l'aggiornamento a Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 o versione successiva. Se si verifica questo problema, vedere la risposta Partner Place 73601 per risolverlo.

Creazione di processi non riuscita dopo il downgrade a Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 da Prinergy Workflow 9.0

Se, in seguito all'aggiornamento alla versione 9.0.0 è necessario un downgrade a Prinergy 8.1.2, potrebbero verificarsi alcuni errori durante la creazione dei processi nel server versione 8.1.2.

In questo caso, contattare il rappresentante dell'assistenza Kodak per risolvere il problema con il sistema Prinergy. [PRINERGY-46987]

Installazione non riuscita dopo il downgrade a Prinergy Workflow 8.1.2 da Prinergy Workflow 9.0.0

Dopo aver eseguito il downgrade da Prinergy 8.4.0 a Prinergy 8.1.2, Setup non funziona correttamente e deve essere reinstallato. [PRINERGY-48872]

McAfee 10.5.3 / 10.6 e Windows 2016 con Windows Defender

McAfee 10.5.3 / 10.6 non può essere installato ed eseguito in Windows 2016 se è installato Windows Defender. Questa limitazione riguarda il software antivirus McAfee, che richiede di disinstallare Windows Defender dai sistemi sui quali deve essere installato McAfee. [PRINERGY-48947]

Aggiunta non riuscita di un dispositivo di output in Prinergy Administrator

La prima volta che si tenta di aggiungere un dispositivo di output in Prinergy Administrator dopo che è stato riavviato il server sul quale è eseguito Prinergy, Prinergy Administrator potrebbe chiudersi. Per aggiungere il dispositivo, occorre prima riavviare l'interfaccia Prinergy Administrator.[PRINERGY-48874]

Supporto per Acrobat 2017 e 2020 

Acrobat 2017 e 2020 sono aggiornamenti di una versione di Acrobat DC che si acquista una sola volta (simile alla versione originale di Acrobat 2015). Il programma di installazione di Prinergy Workshop non rileva la posizione della cartella per Acrobat 2017 o 2020. Se si utilizza la versione di Acrobat DC commercializzata come Acrobat 2017 o 2020, sarà necessario installare manualmente i plug-in di Acrobat DC in Acrobat 2017 o 2020.

Esporta processo

I processi esportati da Prinergy 9.x che contengono rapporti Preflight+ XML non possono essere importati in Prinergy 7.x.

Alias della pagina

Il processo di copia non mantiene l'alias della pagina assegnato al set di pagine quando si copiano i processi sullo stesso server o tra server. [PRINERGY-49619]
