To obtain a license or for troubleshooting support, you typically need the short dongle ID, which is also printed on the device—for example, C12345. This topic explains to get the dongle ID from the active software without having to physically unplug the device.
Note: If the software is not already installed or you do not have the dongle, contact a service representative.
- In Proofer Administrator, click the Controller icon, and click the License
- Click Dongle Server ID.
- Copy the first five characters displayed in the Dongle Security Code
- To create the dongle ID, insert the letter Cat the start of that number—for example, C12345.
